With all the QA issues during MY24, I wouldn't buy a refreshed truck under any circumstances. I'd hold onto that MY21 until the next gen comes out.

That second part is the main one.... "and causes a failure". So the dealership has to show it caused it. I mean, if you have a crappy dealer who is desperate for chargable hours, then you're gonna probably get pinged.

This is sorta where I thought this was going. Plus, 26hp + 44ft-lbs of torque isn't breaking anything that wasn't already going to break. And in that case, they can't prove the tune did anything, and won't be able to default to blaming it. Warranty will replace whatever broke.

The one item of interest is the hp bump down low at 26hp for much of the curve. So the 26hp and 44ft-lbs are for much of the "typical" used range between 2500-4000. I agree that its a downgrade from the other offerings on peak numbers, but this is the most optimistic view I can take from it...

Hate to say it, but thats something you may have wanted to consider when buying a Ford in your current location. I certainly wouldn't buy a car where I had little to no dealership support.

Not sure about everyone else, but the latest OTA actually fixed this. Only took 4 months to correct something that wasn't previously broken.
