Soooo, is either Mossy Ford or Valvoline going to guarantee the engine to 300,000 miles?
If your engine let's go in let's say 100k, the million dollar question is, would it have went 200k if this incident didn't happen? They owe you an engine, or a guarantee.
Yea I am 99% sure. The picture you posted with the one clip circled in black actually looks pretty straight to me.
I have one here i can pull off and double check myself.
Just like I thought, you have bent yours over just a little. I have done this a couple times and seen it happen 100's of times.
It ain't no big deal. The clip itself is fine, the plastic nub the clips slides on to, on the molding is bent over slightly.
When installing it all the clips where...
I have said many times for many years. The most dangerous thing I do is an oil change. Make $10 profit on the chance we don't damage a $20,000 engine.
Personally I wouldn't mind if everyone changed their own oil and took that liability on themselves.
To the OP, you need to fight. Chances are...
There will be programming required, especially if you replace the valve body. The new valve body will have a code/serial number that will be required for the programming.
That is weak, I don't like broken shit. For me that is how you slowly end up driving a POS.
The part was only like $100 if I remember, you just have to take the whole back interior apart, and there isn't much room where the bottom of the glass meets the body.
15w is to thick for winter use, 5w40 T6 is what you want.
Diesel oil has higher zinc content as you said.
But so does any 40 weight oil.
The EPA controls what amounts of additives are allowed in oil.
Any 30 weight (5w30, 10w30, 5w20, 0w20) or lower is allowed around 800ppm zinc
Any oil 40...
Now imagine that engine at 5000' base elevation (where I live). Would be down 15% on hp, I have never seen one. I have only seen one 3.7.
Turbo and supercharged engines are very popular here due to lack of atmospheric pressure.
@SCAR911 is a good sport, I just wanted to make sure the misinformation was squelched ASAP.
He obviously could have gotten butt hurt but did not, I respect that.
Just a note you can't read. Now you started another thread in the engine section, which is just going to stir more shit. You need to step back, and put the key board down.
