Thanks no worries at all. His is a gen 2 which doesn't have as strong a fuel pump. For my gen 3, if all e85 took was a fuel pump that takes 20 min to install I would do it. Injectors is another story. I'll settle with e50 for now =)
While I don’t disagree with your statement, I’ve always wondered why gen 2’s only need a fuel pump and not larger injectors to run e85. From what I’ve read the gen 3’s need both.
Glad you haven’t personally had issues. It’s a cool engine with a nice tone, but is it so hard to believe a low production new drivetrain has issues? How many years and millions of ecoboosts had to be made to work out the kinks? I’ll leave it at that.
The problem is hitting the R isn’t enough for baja mode full time. Damper is still engaged any time you let off the throttle. Meaning you never get a baja startup. I was going to unplug the valves but cannot for the life of me wiggle the switch loose. I got one unlocked and out and gave up on...
It’s in San Felipe, famous stretch that is extremely long with huge whoops. I’ve been there as a spectator. TT’s can fly through that section at well over 100.
For all the whiners complaining the 3.5 EB is dated and there are more powerful alternatives from other companies like Dodge available...when is somebody going to praise Ford for perfecting an almost decade old powertrain? These current engines are nearly bulletproof, moreso than even the older...
That sounds awesome! I just completed a full mid travel build on my gen 3 and considering an EXO trip. I’m pretty happy with the trails we got local here in socal, still on the fence if a trip down south is worth the extra expense. They definitely sound well organized and got you covered if...
I’ve never rolled with them myself, but know many personally who have. There are many times multiple members of the group will be sidelined and it helps to have multiple jacks on hand. They bring everything needed to fix trucks including a mobile welding trailer that seem to be used more or less...
EXO specifically calls out requiring 2 spares, a jack and basic tools, as well as 5 gallons of extra fuel on their more demanding trips. Those trucks go through hell, stock or otherwise.
I’m with you, I’ve spent countless hundreds of dollars on those products as well. There was a guy on youtube who did a similar test with marine products and came to the same conclusion a few years back, really thorough video. I have ceramic tint all around including my windshield and it has made...
I used every rear spring available before going midtravel. Both eibach offerings ride like stock even without weight in the bed in my opinion. You’ll want eibach hd’s or geisers. I have a set of eibach hd’s if you go that route. $200 + shipping. If you’re in socal I’ll help you swap them for free.
bump stops for your rear from any reputable brand is highly recommended. How much weight you adding? Depending on weight you may way want aftermarket springs to keep your shocks in the right zones.
I really like it. I’ve seen shelter green in person and really did not like it, the gold really brings everything together though and makes the green/gold factory paint pop more. Nicely done.
Sorry to say that ceramic coating will not keep or delay your paint from fading. And the ceramic coating would usually need to be removed before installing ppf or the ppf would not adhere properly. Usually people install ceramic coating over ppf if they want benefits of both…
Nice! I feel the same way about the install. My truck was the blue one in their shop, getting the same bumper as you haha. Thanks for posting to show what it will look like.
