I live in So. Cal, currently own a 17 and am looking to upgrade. I walked into the local Ford dealer (10 minute drive so can't hurt) and offered MSRP. They didn't even ask for my number when I left. I called 3 dealers in TN (my mom lives there so I have to go see her anyways every now and...
I agree with original post. I’m not a fan of the new looks. Of course in 2 years I wouldn’t be surprised if I get over this and have the V8. I think the Gen 2 looks great. Yes the Gen 3 is an overall better truck but no way I’ll upgrade for the same amount of cylinders and a less attractive...
Funny how the R in the GT350R and now the Raptor R didn’t even originate from Ford. It was just a bunch of Shelby enthusiasts way back in the day referring to the GT350 competition models.
I don't know much about Tundras but the Tacomas are awesome. They only run about 400K miles before they need anything. They are the perfect vehicle for young kids going to school who can't afford unreliable transportation and need to haul around mountain bikes and surfboards. That being said...
My gardeners cousin knows this guy who used to know a guy who applied for a job at Ford.
He said the V8 is a 100 percent sure thing as a mid year 2019 release.
The seats are hideous. I hope it’s just the picture (doubt it though)
The shocks should be awesome. I would love to put them...
No way could a Raptor beat a 428 CJ, or at least thats what I try to tell myself but yea I know its true. Great job on keeping that car for so long. I have a 66 GT350 (6S1117) and yes the Raptor will kill it.
Ive driven both generations and to keep it brief I had a major hangup (beyond...
Yea, they can be abut toolish. Often, I will cancel after a year, and keep one plate as garage art. 3MTA3, would never fly here and even if it did I'm sure it would not be available.
Seinfeld paid some insane amount of money to get the plate PORSCHE
I tried to get IRVIN88 but it got shot down by the DMV for gang affiliation. I was actually surprised and a little impressed they caught that even though that was not my intention.
Ended up getting A17RPTR. I kinda like the look that most people won't recognize it as a personalized plate.
I got mine at MSRP from Autonation Ford in Tustin. it was a in August and it was a 17. Two friends of mine just bought them. They searched high and low for MSRP with no luck. They both ended up paying 3k over. One from Galpin and one from somewhere in Bakersfield. By the time you end up missing...
Seriously? There are 4 in my neighborhood all within 1 mile of my house. They are absolutely all over the place.
Car guys joke about how many you see out here. I see 5 a day and do not have a long commute. I initially thought you meant no Raptors in Louisiana.
2 friends of mine just...
the dealership I bought mine from in So. Cal said it is rare that they will let you test drive one. They said it is case by case basis, only after they run your credit.
They offered me a test drive but I had already driven a friends so I declined.
I can't say I blame them as they seem to...
I preferred the sound of my V8 in my 16 XLT to the sound of my 17 Raptor.
Like Burnout stated on page 2 of this thread though it is 100 percent completely subjective. Im sure a vast majority of my neighbors prefer the sound of the Raptor at 5am to the V8.
Might as well ask who sounds...
Yes, you will most definitely encounter a few problems.
The biggest problem is that in the real world on occasion it's not even faster than my old Tacoma was. What would take me 15 minutes to go from my house to the grocery and back will now take 20 or so due to the occasional person wanting...
Like the title says there is a 17 Ruby Red SCREW available at MSRP from Autonation Ford in Tustin. Ask for Sean Sunay. I purchased my Raptor from him at MSRP with zero hassles. His dealership and him were very standup individuals.

Congrats on a great truck and a great deal. Im still a new owner (less than one month, first Raptor) and I too am crazy about this truck. It's amazing how many people comment on it.
As others have said they, they do not come in a bad color.
Regardless, Its his truck and he can do what he wants with it. Ive seen a WHOLE LOT worse pimped out rides owned by NFL players. At least he's driving a Raptor and not a Silverado.
To each his own.
Or perhaps he gets 91 at the full service pump. In the city where I work I believe full service is close to 80 cents more a gallon, and YES! people use it.
