Bingo. That's a great point. I drive 25k+ miles a year. Fuel economy does matter some-what to me.

Plug-in hybrid is the only thing that will get me to upgrade. I already know I can't afford the V8, so that doesn't even enter into my brain. No PHEV? Sticking with the Gen 2 and doing some mods.

What makes you say that? I mean, I'm just dreaming, but I don't see what would stop them. Can you imagine the 3.5 out of the GT (650hp) plus 2-3 electric motors worth 150hp and a 20-30kWh battery? 800 combined hp and 30 miles or so of EV range. I can only get so erect.
