late 2018 build? I stated in my original comment I wasn’t sure when the change took place. I had a early 2018 build that had the old ducting.

I don't think it's a "late" build as the build date is Jan 3, 2018 and I bought it on Jan 31, 2018. That said however, I don't know when the MY18 production started, so it could be "later" in the MY cycle.

Mine has the "silencers" in the ducts.

There shouldn't be a turbo silencer. You should have some turbo whine at the very least however I'm wondering do you mean the classic Wastegate noise that a lot of tuners make? If so you'll need to switch out the recirculating valve for a proper blow off. I agree with most people here, a cold air intake will make the whine more audible

My '18 was built in August of 2017...for reference.
