Interesting. Af first the actuator was firing but later on the actuator was not even working, indicating it burned out.
I'll check the rubber stops. What's the fix?

Has anyone had one of these fail?
I've had this kit for 3 years and worked great. Recently my tailgate actuator stopped releasing my tailgate. It would sound like it is firing but tailgate would not release. Dealer replaced the catuator with a new one and within hours the same problem...
Can someone please confirm these part numbers for OEM rotors and pads for a Gen 2 / 2017 Raptor?
BRRF-333 / JL3Z 1125-A (front rotor)
BRRF-295 / FL3Z 2C026-C (rear rotor)
BRF-1868 / FL1Z 2001-D (front pads)
BRF-1469 / FL3Z 2200-A (rear pads)
They don't seem different from a regular F150...
Any updates on the tranny slippage with MPT V4? I just ordered the package from mpt today and wondering if the issues you guys mention have been sorted out by now.
Gents, SP578 may have superceded SP542s, but I am reading that they are NOT the same plug and that the 578s are in fact hotter. Ford still offers the cold / 542 plus, under this part number: M-12405-35T. I just ordered two sets from cj pony parts for $95 shipped.
I got this information from...
I swear I searched and didn't find anything. I am surprised this hasn't been discussed yet.
Can the new magnetic/electronic shocks from 2019s be retrofitted into 2017s?
Please skip all the obvious responses such as "it has a computer / wiring, buy a 2019, etc." I am perfectly happy with my...
Looking to replace my worn out front shocks on my 2017. If you have take-offs with very few miles, please PM. I am keeping an eye on eBay as well so may pull the trigger there as they pop up. Please email me directly xxaarraa at gmail thank you.
Fronts: 235x35x19
Rears: 285x30x20
The rears have between 6/32 and 7/32 tread left and fronts 8/32 - please see pics. Brand new Pilot Super Sports 99Y (rears) should be at 7/32 and brand new front 91Ys should be 10/32. So the rears are nearly new, with fronts only slightly used.
Asking $575...
Thanks all. Here's an update: Got a hold of the dealership GM, explained the situation and he promised to investigate.
He called back a few hours later and said they indeed overfilled it. However, he had a rather fantastic explanation for why. He said "this tranny, depending on which car its...
Comparing suspension clicks is like comparing insurance premiums - everyone's vehicle and situation is completely different.
I am surprised to hear that users are having to do all the dialing in of such a high end suspension setup. Usually, they ship with a baseline that should work fine for...
I tow a lot so I had my local Ford dealer perform a transmission fluid flush at 41k miles. They assured me that it was not a sealed tranny and Ford allows a tranny flush. Did tranny flush.
I drove the car for 25 miles and gears 8-9-10 slipped a little when engaging. Temp steadily climbed to...
That's very weird. I know in the motorcycle world, one fork will ship from factory set to different compression and rebound than the other, but on high end suspension setups, that's normal as one will do compression and the other will do rebound. I can't imagine it's the same on our trucks...
xrocket, sorry to hear of your continuing troubles with this truck. You surely got one that wasn't built by the right assembly on the right day it looks like. In this day and age, you would think they would have eliminated the age-old stereotype around quality variability between crew and...
I have 40k in the truck with two dogs that have been in it for 30 of those 40k (Golden Retriever and Border Collie). No problems. Although the Golden has seen about 10 cars in his lifetime so far, so he's used to change.
Try giving him a bunch of treats, and pet him and baby talk his ass up in...
Mounted the new shocks today. Took about 45 minutes with basic hand tools, crawling on the floor and most of that time was getting the new shocks compressed and aligned to slot into the lower mount. I just used a jack and a pry bar to work the shock into the mount. If I had a lift, this would...
Yeah, still very happy with the added leaf. Now at 40k miles and ride quality has been the same as stock, which is to say, excellent. For under $1k, I am very happy with this solution. I got it done at a suspension shop in Boston. Adding a leaf if pretty easy work, so any reputable truck...
Hey thanks for the suggestion, always good to keep track of options out there.
I have been around race suspension long enough to know that not everyone knows what they are doing. Just because someone offers a rebuild service doesn't automatically mean its done right. Suspension is one of those...
Thanks both. I did a lot of wheeling last year, but last 20k miles have been all street and half of that has been towing.
I see take-offs from 17/18 raptors online for $300, so I will just buy them instead of going the rebuild route. Lot easier and lot less downtime to unbolt and bolt, for that...
Hey guys, I'm at 40k and my OEM rear shocks feel spongy and worn to me on the butt dyno. Background - I tow a lot and have added a leaf to the rear stack to carry some of the load.
Is it reasonable to expect stock shocks to be done at this point? Love the ride quality of the stock truck so will...
