I am sure you are going to be thrilled with it when its all back together again! Looking forward to getting out on the trail with you in San Felipe and eating some dust this time LOL. All very cool stuff you got going there!!!
We had Marvin cut back the firewall on my rig. Huge difference! We now have the clearance needed to run hard and not end up the the tire rubbing. You will also need to beef up the LCA mounts at the frame as they will bend on you and allow the tire to shift farther back. We added material and...
I got it direct from Ron Davis Racing Products, Inc.
Ron Davis aluminum radiators for racing, offroad, performance street car, and other custom applications
It's part number 1-50FT1012 , cost me $1.158.30 plus 57.37 shipping..
Installed a Ron Davis unit that was a drop in replacement, really nice unit, and we saw a big improvement running the NORRA 500. The install is not too bad but you will do better if you have a buddy help you with it when you are sliding it into place.
I have had the true dual setup for a couple of years. Did the cutoff in front of the spare right out of the gate. No issues and this truck has bounced around some. I would suggest getting the headers coated, will help w heat in the engine bay. You also might want to wrap the starter if you plan...
If you are going to run it hard, run the starter wrap. Melted the solder out of the solenoid on mine running flat out across the Laguna Salida Lakebed outside of Mexicali, Baja. It can get hot down there and the clearance to the starter is not that much. Coated headers help too.
You are on the right track to a killer light setup. The KC Carbon Pods are badass and put out a ton of light. Since you are starting w this as your light of choice, $$$, you won't mind just a little extra effort and $ to make the light bar work. Sounds like you are not looking for a complete...
You have options, not to worry. Send a PM ( private message) to Wiz1500. Keith knows all the part numbers and all the skinny on ford rear ends. You can get whatever parts you need, I not to long ago replaced a tweaked axle. He is in Mi and can get you hooked up if you end up needing to fix it...
The Howe pump with the large tank w spin off filter and an inline cooler is the hot setup IMO. For coolers you can run one of their billet ones or a little Setrab with twin fans, that really helps keep things cool Ran this setup at the last event and it was awesome!
I took mine off soon after I got the truck. Run just a single tube runner that I got from SDHQ. Still like how it looks real clean lines, and it has held up to a lot of abuse without issue.
