You have a responsibility to monitor traffic that is approaching and intending to overtake you. You were driving like a jerk and the Raptor guy let you know it. Get over it and drive better next time.
If you hit one of those big municipal cans that weigh about 50 pounds hard enough to knock it over, I would certainly think it would be enough force to dent sheet metal. Too bad you could not have caught any one of the harder areas. Sorry about your truck, a good pointless dent removal guy...
So did you hit a deer or a John Deere lawn tractor? You have to love the United States of America, where somebody who can't even spell 'deer' is somehow able to buy a $60,000 pickup truck.
Don't know the details of what went on here as it sounds like the OP has evidence of a little more than simply taking the truck home.
That said, dealerships (esp. of 'volume' marques) often let the techs take cars home in order to get miles on to help in identifying a certain customer complaint...
If the tech needs to put miles on the car to duplicate a certain condition or allow software to adapt/reset--what do you want them to do? I guess he should just drive it in circles all day around the dealer and take a month to fix the problem. That would also piss you off. We've all seen the...
It would more correctly be "too much money...", so hats off to you for reinforcing another Raptor owner stereotype.
The engine in stock form sounds like crap. Modified, it just sounds like louder crap. There is nothing anyone can do about it. So buy your Ford Perf. exhausts and your Borla...
3.5 Ecoboost will never, ever sound good. You guys are wasting your money and generally annoying other drivers around you. It's rather like those inline 4 tuner cars that never sound good no matter what is done to them. Loud exhausts just feed all the negative stereotypes about Raptor...
If you flip trucks every couple of years (assuming maybe you do because you are already looking to unload a 2018), the smart money would take a $5,000 or so discount on a 2020 (the deals are out there advertised at that range) rather than fight tooth and nail over trying to get $10,000 off a...
LoL at someone on a Gen 2 Raptor forum being concerned about 'reliability and build quality'. Good one...
But, yeah I do agree with the guy above that said thy have to be slightly lifted on 37s to look 'right'. Somehow they just look too long and narrow when stock, even in Rubicon trim.
You're tracking that they have been working on this TRX project for about 3 years already, right? So by the time it debuts, it will have about 4.5-5 years of work behind it. I don't think it is likely to be the parts bin special you are expecting. I predict two flavors: a 550ish hp base model...
C8s are available to order right now for MSRP all day long. My brother has 2 on order, is going to pay MSRP for the first one and probably invoice for the second one. You guys are nuts with your conspiracy theories.
A Mustang GT350 is in no way faster than a Ferrari 458. Period. Unless you mean "Faster at killing pedestrians outside of a Cars N Coffee meet" .
I sort of figured that my point would be lost on most of the members of this forum and that seems to be the case here. I am in no way comparing a...
Yeah, the ZO6 is slated to get the 4.2L twin turbo V8 out of the Cadillac Blackwing models. Probably in the 650hp range. I figure the inevitable ZR1 will get the same engine with hybridization for close to 800.
For God's sake, the base car with Z51 perf. pack is assured at sub-3 seconds zero to...
So my brother just ordered 2 new C8 Corvettes this week, a black car for right away and that funky blue color that will be delayed availability. He is seriously considering cancelling a McLaren 600LT order that he has in since he was less than amused when his 720S caught fire on the track. I...
FWIW, my latest issues of Car & Driver had a writeup of how regular vs. premium fuel affects various new cars. F-150 Limited (with the high output ecoboost of course) was one of the test subjects. They are reporting 380whp on 93 octane and down to 360whp on 87 octane. It does seem like these...
I am sure that Ford has both engineers and beancounters on the "V8 for the Raptor" case but the biggest determinant for the V8 Raptor will, without a doubt, be that Ram 1500 Rebel TRX. If that thing starts eating into Raptor sales significantly, I think we will see a return of the V8. That...
The bottleneck you are looking for is inside the baby KO4 turbo housings. Any "cold air intake" on a 3.5 HO ecoboost is going to make some noise and provide some weight reduction--to your wallet.
Pretty sure that once you buy the AccessPort and it becomes 'married' to your VIN, you can download all the Cobb Off The Shelf maps for free as they become available. So you can be Stage 1 now and upgrade as maps become available.
That makes more sense. No way that power level made sense for a Stage 1. The graph had me wondering how those numbers up top were possible from a K04 turbo housing. I almost thought Ford had switched to a different turbo housing and somehow every magazine and online news source missed it.
