I really like any vehicle that "opens up" like this. Being able to remove the doors and roof is cool, and this thing has a military vibe to it. The interior meh. Seen a few around, mostly base models with the puny tires and they really don't do much for me.

This may sound childish but.. I'm not moving out of the left lane for a Jeep Gladiator, like they move out of the way for the Raptor.

Impressive, an 1” taller and 1/2” longer wheelbase according to the ad. Lol they went all out.

Surprised they listed the wheelbase difference. I do dig the gladiator, in lifted form with 37s. Tho i have two old gladiators and just not the same.

I dig it, esthetically at least. I've heard plenty of stories of their egregious reliability and build quality; can anyone speak to that personally? The last Jeep I owned was damn near 20 years ago in high school.

But, yeah I do agree with the guy above that said thy have to be slightly lifted on 37s to look 'right'. Somehow they just look too long and narrow when stock, even in Rubicon trim.

Despite the issues with the 17 and 18 Raptors, they are still above and beyond the Jeeps in build quality. My 18 JL, and just about everyone else out there had frame welds that were so poorly done you could literally see through them, and that’s so long as you weren’t one of the unlucky owners who’s vehicles had missing welds entirely.

man, starting price at $45K - $50K ... I remember bought my CJ when I graduated HS in 2002 and it was $700 LOL

I cross shopped a new Gladiator and a used 2017 raptor SCAB. It wasn’t close. I bought the Raptor. New vs old isn’t always 100% fair but between the Raptor being better in every way, better outfitted, and depreciation already settled down the Jeep just seemed stupid.

I don’t really neeeeeeed either. Also neither would get a ton of miles per year. 2-4k max. So residual value really tilts the decision.
