Mine seems to be over-aggressive about the blower speed. Wish they the fan speed control allowed you to set the "intensity" of the auto climate when in auto mode, like some of the German items.
As a tux black owner, I wouldn't want regular solid non-metallic black. This thing is half as difficult to make look clean as was my "pure" black '03 Silverado. Pure black shows *every* imperfection.
Just my opinion of course, and have never dealt with a pure black Ford. I suppose this is...
Fantastic! I'll have to swing by there soon and have them order one for me (assume they're not just going to start stocking them?) I've had the clunk for far too long now.
The more I listen to this thing the more I hate it. Just played a track on the Sony system and then listened to it on my $160 Klipsch Computer Speakers...there is no comparison. It's just painful. It's broken.
Went by a local higher-end audio shop (Beach Autosound in Huntington Beach)...
Our trucks don't have backup lights. They have backup indicators. Or perhaps I'm using them wrong.
I've never seen a vehicle with worse backup lighting. I hold my left foot on the brake to see in the backup camera when reversing.
This was me trying it (skip to 1:40).

The ABS almost sounded like a squealing belt. Never tried this feature on any vehicle before, but the noise makes sense IMO.
I think 50% of them are black.
Lot of this is due to it being the only one to get the 411hp 6.2L. The other colors are only rated at 370hp. Fact. On the internet. Indisputable.
If it's in their code, and if the problem is fundamental to their software development process, it will take more effort to correct than any possible mechanical part ever could (i.e., multiple years if they're proactive about it, forever if not).
Even if it's not fundamental, a problem like...
I don't think it was a pedal issue. Was either inadequate EMF protection or an error / "race condition" (no pun intended) in the code. Some of the statements the company publicly made regarding how it simply "could not" be software conveyed a lack of understanding of how software works. It's...
Can't really fault them for a minor issue like that. Everyone fucks up.
Now covering up a software engineering problem as a minor mechanical issue (unintended acceleration), that I can fault them for. Can't be 100% certain it happened, but as a developer I have a serious "hunch" from the...
Poly fill installed. Pretty sure I was the only Raptor in the Joann Fabrics parking lot. :roflsquared:
Think it's an improvement, need to go test side-by-side with kglesq's stock sub. If anything it quieted it a little bit (a good thing).
Thanks for the info!
Definitely don't want to do an aftermarket HU though as I'm a fan of the Sync system and stock navigation integration, was one of the strongest selling points for me on the 09+ F-150 before I made the "mistake" of test driving a Raptor.
I just went out and played...
Frickin gorgeous. Love the M3 carbon trim and the audio setup....and everything else. Where is the amp mounted?
And if you don't mind me asking, what was the cost breakdown on having that done? Guessing it was very steep given the incredible quality of work.
Bummed that shop is 3000 miles...
As for the "Full manual" mode...not particularly impressed by it. Seems to be very slow to activate. It's thus not useful or fun in normal on-road conditions.
I may enjoy it more for going up the hill to Brian Head where there are a few places where I want a truck to hold 2nd or 3rd gear and...
