Sorry been busy and haven't been on here for a bit. Tune makes no difference. I don't know for sure but I think when they tune it they just change the commanded %'s using the existing factory tuning. So the flaw in the tuning is still there and isn't changed.
If you are getting pinging/clattering that is different than the issue we are discussing here.
First off are you sure it's pinging/clattering? There has been waste gate rattle issues that could possibly be confused with that. Also the cylinder firing/misfiring is monitored pretty closely by...
Unfortunately no updates. As far as I know the complaint percentage for this issue is so low that Ford is not addressing a fix. It's ALL in the programming. mezger described very well what is going on. The truck is trying to maximize the power based on fuel quality, octane, IAT temp, load...
Curious how your wheel wrap comes out and how it looks. Would you please post some pictures when you are done and your thoughts on how easy the application went?
Just FYI the rear diff is open (unless you have the locker on) so no damage would be done there with a 37 and a 35 on the rear. You would want to turn the traction control off if you used the spare. Because with the varied rotation speed of that one tire the truck may think that's wheel spin...
We have one in the shop now. Just did cam phazers and gears. Not sure if it fixed it yet since it's not completely back together yet.
The truck has 52k miles on it.
It's been an option with the Ford ESP. You can choose with or without light bulb coverage, key coverage, zero deductible, $50 deductible, $100 deductible along with term and mileage. Each option just affects the total cost of the warranty.
Forscan shouldn't affect anything unless you were to screw up a module, and that may not even get detected as a forscan alteration. I've done multiple changes to my truck with Forscan. I can't see that causing an issue.
You should have put the hammer down and done a four wheel rooster tail!!
Nah just kidding. You'd have f'd the guys yard even worse.
Nice to see neighbors helping neighbors.
Speaking of rain we've been hammered here this year. I've got saddle sores from spending so much time riding my mower.
Most of the warranty decision is not made by the dealer. The PCM monitors countless functions of the vehicle and will take a snapshot of any event that is out of factory specs.
Let me try to explain it this way. I had a customer with a Focus ST that had low compression on 2 cylinders and...
Probably because they just don't want to deal with the extra work involved. There is also some risk of the vehicle being shipped somewhere and the buyer backing out.
My arrangement with the buyers was that once the truck was locked in for build dates their deposit became non refundable. I...
Drop ship is an agreement worked out between the selling dealer and the dealer agreing to receive the order and prep it for delivery. Dealers don't have to accept drop ships. I've sold several members here Raptors. I have dropped shipped 3 and the fee was $300 for each one's. I typically...
That's what I'm saying I wish it did. Came with a sensor for the spare. Especially since it's the same tire and wheel as the rest of the truck (with beadlocks). So it would show the spare pressure just like the other 4 tires AND it would be simple to rotate in the mix then.
E rated spare is...
I'll check my spare load range when I get a minute.
I didn't clarify well enough what I was thinking with TPMS sensor for the spare. I wish the truck had the capability to display the spare tire pressure when it is in the spare position. Most people never check the pressure of their spare...
