My dealer in Missouri said it isn't an option. My local Ford dealer is even willing to waive the fee but I was told they won't do it. I did notice that some of their trucks on youtube have the option for them to be shipped. I'm going to ask again.

My dealer in ND would not even consider having the truck shipped to a different dealer. So while the option exists, if the dealer you buy though won't do it, it isn't an option.

Drop ship is an agreement worked out between the selling dealer and the dealer agreing to receive the order and prep it for delivery. Dealers don't have to accept drop ships. I've sold several members here Raptors. I have dropped shipped 3 and the fee was $300 for each one's. I typically call a few dealers in the area to see who will and what their cost is.

I've had dealers in a few areas quote me as high as $1,500 because it was a Raptor.

We don't lose allocation when we do this. We sell the truck and do all of the paperwork and licensing. The dealer the vehicle gets drop shipped to just simply receives the unit, does a new car check over and service and then cleans it for delivery.

I get all of the paperwork and payment handled just before the truck arrives. That was as quickly as the dealer can get the unit prepped the customer can go in with their ID and pick it up.

We allow Raptor/GT350 courtesy deliveries to any Ford dealer in Canada whether or not they're a Ford Performance franchise...mostly procured for their own customers. We've recently had Raptor/Navigator courtesy delivery swaps w/Lincoln dealers.
Chinese customer recently bought 4 identical Navigators.

Probably because they just don't want to deal with the extra work involved. There is also some risk of the vehicle being shipped somewhere and the buyer backing out.

My arrangement with the buyers was that once the truck was locked in for build dates their deposit became non refundable. I only collected enough deposit to cover the cost of shipping the truck back to us from where it was being delivered. That way if for some reason the buyer backed out at the last minute I wasn't stuck with a truck sitting across the country.

I've drop shipped 3 Raptors so far for board members and every one went as smooth as you could ask for.

Ford's courtesy delivery is technically free as you have already paid for the transportation fee. What will cost you is how much the receiving dealer will charge for the "dealer prep". Mine did it for $250. I ordered from Texas and delivered to Oregon. You do have to pre-arrange with your ordering dealer as well as the receiving dealer. Dealers do not have to accept your request. It is not a mandatory program.
