The bump stop pad does get removed as they are integral to the OE blocks. So you don’t necessarily need to get bump stops, but more so bump stop pads/strike plates...
So I purposely drove the truck, parked in the garage, swapped the springs and drove the truck. Because I used to have aftermarket shop on the side and other experience in such matters, I noticed a little bit of a SLIGHTLY stiffer ride initially. However, by day two or three, I didn’t even notice...
I'm still betting he has a problem or the beginnings of he doesn't realize yet. Only because it was explained to me the issue is more predictable and likely than phasers. Most just take it as being some version of "normal" in these clunky transmissions. After getting mine back from the "fix", I...
Transmissions great as long as you’re at full throttle and only at full throttle without peddling it at all. Otherwise, I find it as laggy, unpredictable, and quirky as a m e t h w h o r e.
Yet, I still love this truck more than I ever expected to.
Adaptive learning is a thing. So when it initially did it, I initially dismissed it as having recently been reset, and only happening under certain conditions. So try to make sure you replicate whatever conditions was causing your issue.
I haven’t done it, but saw it over on the F150 forms. If you login via the Internet on the website. Not the app, but the website. It appears you still have the option to add. I should’ve snagged that link, and if I come back across it if allowed, I will post it.
Sounds like the CDF hub... these trucks are as follows... Cam phasers, Transmission CDF hub sleeve slips/moves, and pinion bearings take a $hit. Now I'm just stressin' over what side of the cam phaser fence I'm on with a 11/19 build date (even though I had the updated ECU mapping done early).
CDF sleeve may have slipped and hub needs to be replaced. Recently happened to mine. Trans dropped, hub replaced and shifts back to normal.
You will know if you put the OE TCM tune back in and the shift still suck. On mine, had to take it in for a noisy pinion and while there had the...
Looks like you may be able to do it via laptop online. However, I don’t see how you can still do it in the app. They better unfvck this or there’s no point in the app for me.
Hell, there may be no point in Ford for me after this last $ealership debacle.
I've come full circle on weight vs durability and think I'm going to try the AT4Ws. Weight penalty is a bitch though. Believe I've got 30 days with Discount to decide if its worth it. I DO hate the KO2s though. With 5k 5 tire rotations and two sets all I have to say is they are LOUD and do not...
...and two faced service advisors and guiltless $hitbag techs. Hold them in the same regard. Almost as bad as lazy engineers or worse, those who will direct said "engineers" to intentionally design limited lifespan. Point is, world is full of less desirables regardless of profession. $hit bag is...
