If you want to get plugged into the TX raptor community, head on over to texas motorworx, they are in the farmer's branch area. If it can be done to a raptor, or shouldn't be done to a raptor, they'll shoot ya straight about it. They also sponsor and host the prerunner days at texplex.

GEN 2 Wheel Hop/axle wrap Solutions

but you are missing that the axle side mount doesn't drag or catch on anything with the SVC setup. if you aim the differential, or any other similarly located piece of your truck at a ROCK, YOU'RE GONNA HIT IT. If you pick a line that you can drive through and know what you're doing, you...

GEN 2 Wheel Hop/axle wrap Solutions

my truck cycles 22" and has SVC traction bars on it. sorry that it isn't 2', but its a leaf sprung truck. I've got about 2500 dirt miles on them. I've never had any issues with dragging them either, perhaps because of the 40s. I'd dare to say that the crews that I run with ( Expedition x...

What did you do to your Raptor today? (Gen2)

take pictures before you let them touch it again. take new pictures when you get it back. oil change techs at dealerships suck and the service advisors are generally too aloof to look over their work.

What did you do to your Raptor today? (Gen2)

theres a company outside of new orleans that specializes in custom powerwheels to match dad's ride. They even set them up to be remote control. They are wellllllll under 3K.

    Porpoising

sit up straighter and ride it like a horse. My raptor now barely does it, so you could copy mine and it'll be great. My super duty with the Carli pin top kit and everything else that Carli makes for super duty makes me giggle because it bucks a lot over expansion joints. I live in...

What did you do to your Raptor today? (Gen2)

the point is that if the engine filter is that filthy, the cabin filter is going to be as bad or worse.

    Expedition: Baja Sur - 5/31-6/6

get yourself signed up! you too can be the envy of FRF. You could also say "zombiekiller fixed my truck, who wants to touch me?" no guarantees that you'll get any takers, but it might be fun to say once, until the disappointment sets in. ;)

    Expedition: Baja Sur - 5/31-6/6

Well, there's a good chance that when you're ready, I'll be on the trip too. I had even more fun on the last trip as part of the ExO crew. I got to show folks the cool stuff that had been shared with me. You have to go out of your way to have even a mediocre time on an ExO run. (If you don't...

My Dream Truck...Finally in Miramar Florida..Wahooo!!

before you go rebuilding shocks, there are a lot of other things to rule out. tie rod ends, bushings, etc. and in the case of the shocks, you may want to consider some 3.0s or find a set of shocks that have already been rebuilt. I'm guessing you do not want to have the truck on jack stands for...

    Door jamb mounts Gen 2

tell the tmx fellas that the dude with the raptor on 40s sent ya. ( if you want to get charged extra :D). theirs is the only option that doesn't require external drilling. It also helps that theirs also sits the lightbar where it naturally should be, instead of 6 inches too high.

a blown shock can absolutely cause that.

    Door jamb mounts Gen 2

call texas motorworx. They have their own tension mounts. I believe that they'll give you the mounts gratis if you buy the BD lightbar from them. This is what it looks like. They are not on the website. but if you call the Dallas location, they'll get you sorted.

    TurboSmart EM BOV

the point is, the em valve is a solution looking for a problem. No need to replace the mechanical valve that you have with this. just install your mechanical valve properly.
  23. zombiekiller

    TurboSmart EM BOV

incorrect. you do not need to "cut into" anything. Leave the factory shit alone. buy a throttle body spacer with a reference port. Run the mechanical valve trouble and sprinkler free. the mechanical valve works just fine for me. Some people just look for solutions to problems that don't exist.
