Transmission & Transfer case fluid service

I'm a little confused why your doing all of this. There is special machinery required to fully flush one of these transmissions unless your going to R+R it, pull the torque convertor all the lines and drain it. Your not going to be able to get all of the flushing chem out of the system. Adding...

    New Problem

All AGM batteries are particular about chargers. That's why any of the manufacturers will recommend an AGM specific charger with micro processing. If your battery drops below 10.5 volts a traditional charger may not charge it, or may damage the battery. Plenty of info out there on charging...

    Ever wanted a 1979 raptor?

I looked into this for my 78' before I got distracted with making it a hot rod. The wheelbase and frame length between a longbed dentside and a scab raptor is nearly identical, swapping the chassis under the cab would be a good way to go. This truck looks like they kept the firewall from the...

Bad wheel hop...traction bars, deavers, or ? Please help!

Wheel hop is really hard on parts: driveshafts, u-joints, differentials, springs, shocks, axle shafts, pretty much everything behind the transfer case, fixing that first should be the priority. Traction bars are a great start. Make sure your rear shocks are in good shape too.

Ignition Coil Packs & Wires when changing plugs?

No. Your not changing air or fuel flow, at best your restoring the stock performance level.

Broke my rear fender off road, solutions?

Increasing spring arch for lift then taking away the lift by lengthening the shackle is counter productive. You are getting more theoretical travel but you are still limited by the location of the frame in relation to the axle so your net is still zero, but now you have messed up the geometry...

How to fix weird streaks in repainted bumper?

That's a paint defect rather than a detailing issue. It's in the metallic itself. Silver metallic is one of the hardest things to spray perfectly, you will have to respray. There are some YouTube videos on painting metallic.

    Headlight condensation and sealing

You could certainly try drilling a small hole near the top in the back of the housing where its protected and see if it gets rid of the problem, it would be something to try in lieu of replacing them. But as soon as you hit dewpoint you will have condensation again, maybe drill, allow them to...

Broke my rear fender off road, solutions?

Taller springs do not give extra compression, you have to change shocks to get that. Once the wheels are dangling free in the air you are limited by shock travel. You want the droop zone of the suspension as large as possible to absorb the jump impact, lift springs without longer shocks is a...

Broke my rear fender off road, solutions?

Good to see someone out enjoying the truck. Bump stops/frame reinforcement kit should prevent it. Lifting the truck will lessen droop, so unless your increasing travel its best to keep the ride height close to stock. Droop is good for catching air. Check your bed to cab alignment to make sure...

    Third Brake Light

Tough one. Do you have an aftermarket stereo or any aftermarket wiring that is run through the cab? You could bench test your old 3rd brake light. That would ensure that brake light is in fact bad, you can then test the new one. If it proves good you know there is some other gremlin.
