    Wheel hop is really hard on parts: driveshafts, u-joints, differentials, springs, shocks, axle shafts, pretty much everything behind the transfer case, fixing that first should be the priority. Traction bars are a great start. Make sure your rear shocks are in good shape too.

You are getting more theoretical travel but you are still limited by the location of the frame in relation to the axle so your net is still zero, but now you have messed up the geometry...

    Tough one. Do you have an aftermarket stereo or any aftermarket wiring that is run through the cab? You could bench test your old 3rd brake light. That would ensure that brake light is in fact bad, you can then test the new one. If it proves good you know there is some other gremlin.

    Have you checked for codes? That certainly sounds like a vacuum leak. Start by ensuring none of the intake is loose or damaged, if that checks out OK pull it and check all your vac lines.
