Have a 2019 SCREW with 20,000 miles on it. I am now hearing a slight “chirp” coming from the rear when I accelerate forward from stop or when first moving in reverse. Anybody else get this ?

Jack up the rear end to expand the springs, spray them out with high pressure water (pressure washer), and then dry them with an air compressor using a blow gun. This is common with all leaf springs when they get dirt/contamination between the leaf packs; it's a limitation of the design.

So I have recently developed this chirp. I hadn't been off-road prior. To that end at one point I had a rear end squeak when jumping into bed to load stuff and pressure washed the leaf springs and solved that noise.
This new chirp reminds me of the slip yoke chirp made when needing lubricated. @FordTechOne , any history on the slip yoke on these trucks needed to be lubed at some point? OP any updates on your situation?

I am not aware of any slip yoke concerns on these trucks. You could certainly try applying Motorcraft XG-8 PTFE lubricant to the slip yoke splines though and see if it eliminates the noise.

Any other thoughts as to what might be creating the chirp, or could it just be a different noise that leaf springs are making?
Thanks!

What's the easiest method to do this? Do you just remove the driveshaft to grease it, or is there an effective shortcut? This sounds like it could be a shared Gen1/2 thing.
