I want to give all the geniuses a visual of what they think this truck was not "designed to do". This with ONE passenger is overloaded. You meatheads think I'm crazy for calling out that the payload sucks.
Nice try, I appreciate the effort but less is more...
I think you're the one missing the point. I'm not putting weight in the truck. 1000lbs is nothing, especially when you're talking payload that includes passengers. Me, the wife and 2 teens is more half the payload of this truck. How many...
The F450 is super stiff unloaded. Take a dirt road with that stiff of a rear end and it feels like a solid axle. The reason you want to remove the Timbrens is because they will hit when the suspension flexes and basically limit the travel.
Listen up Karen - if you took the time to read what I'm trying to accomplish you could clearly see that I'm simply using the vehicle as a truck...not a Super Duty, not a F250, not a dully. I want to load my truck with basic gear and head to camp. A Tacoma can handle what I'm doing with my truck...
I've taken an empty F350 down the Golden Road. It's comical the first 20 mins then it's painful. My camp is in North Easy Carry at the northern tip of the lake.
Lol - the truck clearly wasn't designed for payload use my friend. A Nissan Quest minivan has a 1200lb payload...that's the point. I don't need a truck with a high payload. I simply never imagined the Raptor would be so low. 100% my fault for not looking prior to the purchase but I've owned half...
I don’t tow anything heavy. I have a 4000lb boat but the tongue weight is low. I don’t have a need for a 3/4 ton. I chose the Raptor because I own a camp in The Maine North Woods. The MNW is 1000’s of miles of dirt logging roads where your traveling at speeds of 60+mph for 100+ miles. It kicks...
That’s a typical Raptor owner’s response Skippy. You realize you guys have a reputation right?? Point out something you don’t like about the truck and you’re a dumbass that isn’t intelligent enough to understand the Raptor. You’re acting like a called your mom ugly.
You’re just mad because us...
I may just end up going with Timbrens and remove them when not needed. The stance with +2 in the rear will drive me nuts. Thanks for the suggestion though.
Ok skippy. I already acknowledged that I over estimated the trucks payload. You respond by telling me that I overlooked the payload and come up with some dumbass comparison of how I’m not using the vehicle “correctly”. I’m not hauling anything so the payload was never even a thought. A stack of...
This is such a portentous response. The payload sucks. That's not really debatable. You can literally be over your payload with 4 men and a Yeti cooler. I already admitted that I overlooked the payload but for you to state that I'm using the the truck for something it wasn't designed to do is...
I own a camp in the North Maine Woods and travel up there 5-6 times a year. The roads are thousands of miles of dirt logging roads. It’s the type of terrain this truck was built for and the reason I purchased it.
...but I use my truck as a truck. I haul trailers, fill the bed with wood, tools...
You completely missed the point of the post. If the OP posted the video and released the name of the dealership he could have opened himself up to a lawsuit. Regardless of right or wrong / win or lose, the legal fees to defend yourself are real. @Troutrad was simply giving an example. I was sued...
And here is a great example of what is wrong with our legal system. It costs an astronomical amount of money to be RIGHT. I'm in the middle of a business lawsuit and paying a lawyer $650 per hour to defend myself. It's a completely frivolous lawsuit but I had to come up with a $50,000 retainer...
