I think it’s just the used vehicles that are being sold for crazy amounts. The difference between a used and new vehicle is only a couple thousand in some cases. Haven’t stepped on a lot since I got my raptor so don’t quote me.
I came from a Tacoma and the 4Runner, much like FTO was saying is sluggish to drive and have not so great mpg (not that you’d care coming from a raptor) especially considering their size. Anyway, they hold their value really well as I sold my 2018 Tacoma with 30k miles for only a few thousand...
Not sure what the appeal of the Tundra is to you, but I briefly considered one a few years ago because the back seat was spacious but they had problems with shaking or loose beds or something to that extent. Got a Tacoma and that thing drove like a turd. I still loved it though, but I traded up...
That’s a bummer man and I’m glad it doesn’t appear to have caused much damage. It hasn’t happened to me with my raptor but I never have anything valuable to steal other than the actual vehicle so that probably mitigates opportunities. Biggest fear when first purchasing it and driving back home...
Big time bummer. One of the reasons I decided to fly out and pick mine up even though it was probably more expensive and added on all those miles. Just didn’t want to trust a transport company with something like that. Granted I had the time and for some people that’s not reasonable to do...
I say keep it. You wanted a Scab, went through the trouble of ordering one then the disappointment of being told months after the fact it wasn’t happening and went out and bought one. No one is 100% the Scab will continue on so if you get rid of it now, who knows if you’ll ever get a raptor scab...
Being able to do something if I need to do it is a factor in my vehicle purchases, even if the need doesn’t necessarily arise or I’ve never actually done it prior. It’s nice to have a little peace of mind though. I think since you are thinking about future use and don’t require those things...
Man I really enjoyed reading that thread back when it was all happening. For whatever reason I was just entertained, minus that poor goof getting taken to the cleaners.
As for your deal @hyrepower I think you did well considering Vegas and west coast prices. I flew to Texas and drove back...
I think optioned to the max has an msrp of about 76k. You didn’t pay msrp which is a big win in my book for raptors and especially big if you’re on the west coast. Where did you end up buying from and when?
I’ve gotten them down to about 5-6k off msrp but it took a month of calling and...
Now I must know. Share some deets and maybe we can convince you that you didn’t get screwed to ease the pain...or laugh at you relentlessly, either way. I will say at least you aren’t the guy who paid 20k in warranties (I may or may not be exaggerating)
My sister lives in the Salt Lake area and she can’t even get to her house without awd or 4x4 if it snows. She’s not far from the zoo and also Joe ingles house, who also owns a raptor (avalanche) by the way, just thought I’d throw that out there lol. Utah is a beautiful state I’m sure you’ll...
This was honestly my thoughts when I bought a raptor. I have a separate retirement fund so I’m not concerned with that really, but with the way money is being printed and how the world is currently moving, I was inclined to think saving wasn’t going to amount to much in the long run if money...
Welcome! Love the white, it was my second favorite color choice but I went with the cheaper deal and got my third favorite color.
I’m undecided on the auto start/stop feature, hasn’t really bugged me yet but I don’t know enough about it to know if I should disable it.
Also, I’m still trying to...
Hah fair enough, dealerships near me also have a brand new listed for 95k. That’s California for you. I actually saw one being sold and driven off the lot that was listed for 89k a month or two ago, I can’t imagine they talked them down to any reasonable price. West coast prices man, I don’t...
Hey now that’s a smokin deal! I’ve got an Audi dealership advertising a used 2020 used raptor for 90k too! Without all the mods! Get it while it’s still there boys.

Maybe a stupid question, but I’m interested in the tint on house windows aspect. Does it have the same kinda look to your house windows as a car would and does it give it kind of a tacky look (for lack of a better word) or is it something not really noticeable?
Yup, I agree. California has a hard enough time not forcing rolling outages on us as is. I don’t know what they’ll do when they decide all electric by 2040 and what will happen to the power grid especially in summer.
