30, sold a house and put 50% down on a used 17. Moved across the country, make good money, put plenty in 401k with good matching and still able to save. May buy a house next year, or build, we shall see how much I enjoy this first winter in Utah...the Raptor should make it fun

Being completely rational about it, there's an argument that saving money is a waste today. We're rapidly socializing, and those savings will be shared up among those who didn't save in the spirit of "fairness". This will most likely be done by printing money rather than taking the savings directly, which ****** people off. Either way, savings will most likely become worthless. When that happens, everyone save the politicians will be too poor to afford nice things. "Forget about the check, we'll get hell to pay." suddenly looks like a reasonable approach. I'm glad I'm old.

Spend you money before they spend it for you.
"Invest in Gold" nonsense commercial. Invest your money in Guns. it's the only way to keep these morons honest. That's why the meathead politicians want to take them away.

This was honestly my thoughts when I bought a raptor. I have a separate retirement fund so I’m not concerned with that really, but with the way money is being printed and how the world is currently moving, I was inclined to think saving wasn’t going to amount to much in the long run if money isn’t worth anything and there is some sort of inflation. I’m not all gloom and doom but you can’t just print and hand out money and expect it not to come crashing down at some point

My sister lives in the Salt Lake area and she can’t even get to her house without awd or 4x4 if it snows. She’s not far from the zoo and also Joe ingles house, who also owns a raptor (avalanche) by the way, just thought I’d throw that out there lol. Utah is a beautiful state I’m sure you’ll enjoy it, or maybe not, who knows.

Oh I love it here so far...and I’m actually looking forward to winter, being in an apartment downtown with a parking garage limits the amount of scraping and shoveling I’ll have to deal with haha

26 , put down $30,000 on my 2020 ... me and my fiancé are building a house now... worked very hard for the last 10 years to get here

I even spent the last 6 months clearing our homesite with a stihl chainsaw to save on costs..( saved about $20,000 on that alone) work hard & play hard!!

PS: made the architect make the garage dimensions around the raptor dimensions!!!

Age isn't the Raptor purchasing factor, I'm 52 and really can't "afford" the $73k price tag. But desire is a strong motivating force to somehow come come up with the funds. Got mine just 4 days ago!
