Only thing I'd personally throw the red flag up is if you wired the lights into something you weren't supposed to and that system broke, or you have a shit ton of lights and you keep going thru alternators. After the second alternator id expect you upgrade or start paying for your own.
You...
Not uncommon to lose torque with less back pressure. The intake manifold and camshafts profile are most efficient around x amount of back pressure. The three (exhaust, intake manifold, camshafts) are designed to work together. Mess with the back pressure too much and you have cylinder scavenging...
It sounds like you have a legitimate issue with your IWE system. The CVs shouldn't turn in 2wd in normal operation under any conditions, as long as the engine is running/producing a vacuum. The problem could be on the other end in your tcase, it might not be releasing causing your front drive...
You can "patch" the plastic lines if you're in a bind or whatever. Get some small vacuum or washer fluid hose and slide a piece over both broken ends. The system will continue to work until a replacement hose is found.
I don't see ford going to a manual system ever. The mass population wants...
If the kit is done right, I really don't see the problem with doing it as long as you limit the type of off roading. Mud, minor rock crawling, slow-ish "fire" road kinda stuff shouldn't be a problem. I wouldn't jump it a bunch or try and tackle the rough stuff at high speed with it because I...
When you get to sizes that big it starts to depend on the socket manufacture. You'll see most people use cheaper large sockets because no one wants to spend several hundred dollars for one socket on the snap on truck. I've used both sizes, one made by sunex and the other by cornwell. Both fit...
Good job Andy!
Couple things if I may, loosen/unsnap/cut zip tie, on the 4x4 vacuum, wheel speed sensor wire, and brake line BEFORE you separate the upper control arm from the knuckle. The wheel speed sensor wire can damage easilly if pulled tight when the upper control arm springs free. The...
I doubt you'll have a problem. I'd rather be over caster than under caster. You can leave the lowers alone. When you bring the UCA front mount in, it will bring the top of the knuckle forward, reducing positive caster. As a result you'll also add some negative camber but probably not enough to...
