Yeah, if I push my XLT like that, I can get sub-6 speeds. Those ecoboost engines can really get up and go.
That being said, I can't wait for my 2019 order to arrive. :-)
Were you in normal eco mode? In 4wd or rear wheel only? Were you on the brake revving the engine before start?
These things matter more than you might think. Especially the first point.
I have a 2.7 XLT now, and it's definitely quick. Just shy of six second 0-60 when in sport mode.
Glad you won though, wouldn't want your buddy to win bragging rights with a truck that costs $25k less. ;-)
Whelp, jumped in this afternoon and got my order submitted. Fully loaded, minus the stickers, in performance blue.
I was gonna wait until November/December, since I don't want to take delivery until March; But with the talk of delays for the BLs and color package, figured I'll play it safe...
Of the '19s that I've seen, or at least this one specifically, the only exterior updates were the wheels and shocks. I didn't look terribly closely, but the truck in the photo was definitely an 801. So if fog lights are included, it could be that they are an 802 only option.
Though I will...
It was an M plate; They're common where I live. I've noticed several what I assumed to be '19s, but this was the first I could walk up to and do more than just glance as I drove by.
Yes, I saw a '19. The outside of the '19s is nearly identical to the '17/18s, and I wasn't about to start taking photos of the inside of someone else's vehicle without their permission. Hence taking a photo of the only noteworthy upgrade.
Here's a better look of the new BLs. Saw a 2019 Raptor while I was running errands, and creeped on it enough to get a photo.
Personally, they're better than I thought they'd be, but I still prefer the 2017/8 rims.
Ok, I see where I was off. I had the base on the 2018 SCREW with the destination fee included. So yeah, an increase of $1800 over MSRP for base. That's a little steep.
The BL wheels going to almost $2k is disappointing. I liked the old ones better at almost half the price.
And how is...
Is your math off a little there? I just did a quick compare against the following numbers (2018 source = Ford's site, 2019 source = above order):
- SCREW
- 802a
- Tech Package
- Moon Roof
- Delivery Fee
2018 = $69,665
2019 = $69,890
Someone please double check my calculations, but...
Ok, that makes more sense. Personally, I'm opting for the color accent package over the carbon fiber; It's less money and I think there's more "pop" to the color accents.
My current F150 (non-Raptor) has the CF package, and it really doesn't do much for me. Had it not been an off-the-lot...
Salt corrodes, simple as that. The Raptor's undercarriage rusts no more/no less than a typical F150, from my understanding. The easiest way to prevent corrosion is to wash it frequently -- Especially when there's salt on the roads.
Do you have a link or a source for this? As far as I know, you can add the all weather floor mats through your dealership, but I don't think the truck has a factory option for no carpet.
