yea mine hasn't showed up in the ford pass yet. just the letter. I haven't had any issues except the occasional turn on right as I start the vehicle ... moisture sensed or something
wtf how did that get released without them. did you know it right away and have the option to take it before they were installed or did nobody catch it until you got it home. thats crazy because by law because of the width of the truck they are required by Law to have 5 lights on there...
Issued recall on 1/15/2023. Today I Just got my letter yesterday. Recall number #22S71. I wonder if this is the spontaneous wiper going on at startup every once in a while.
I have a MY21' and with auto start when its cold, it doesn't seem to kick into quiet mode until I hit the button in the cab or when it warms up and the rpms drop down. Its all about the rpms. Even when its in quiet mode the baffles open up when you get on it because it needs more flow...
I received my Cobb air intake bracket. I plan to the install it tomorrow and probably use a zip tie to hold the shroud down. There's no need to have Ford do anything. Since they don't seem to be doing anything unless it actually screws up the turbos. I don't have time for that and...
because its not true. they first of all are not on the lots yet that any of us know of and if most every dealer is going to be charging minimum 20-30k over why or how could they sell for 10 under.
but that is about the price they should be. 100k fully loaded.
not always they aren't always actually on the lots. these are ones that I actually drove by. sometimes cars.com doesn't update the ones that just show up. I only post the ones that I actually see not the ones that claim they are there .. cars.com cant do that. not to mention...
Code orange and Rapid red. both 23's. They were there on the lot as of last Thursday.

I just saw the same one this weekend and started a thread before seeing this. sorry for the duplicate. hopefully everyone who wants to share keeps it in one thread.

I couldn't find another thread dedicated to just this. Figured it might help for out of state...
ordered my Cobb intake bracket. anxious awaiting their shroud to replace this flimsy ass stock shroud, until then ill just zip tie it to keep it in place.
no such luck. I was talking to someone I trust and who is very knowledgeable about the issue with bad parts and why they still make their way into production. What he said is that they will not scrap them (100% lose) but they will put them into the production line periodically in order to...
Id do the 3m. OEM may have holes but they are finished and sealed in the paint process before the install of the appliqué. aluminum may not rust but it does corrode. 3m for sure.
I like the idea of it but I will pass at this time. I don't think id ever use it. I always have the radio channel always showing there in the small section.
I agree they are bad but far from the worst. they are about the middle of the road compared to the rest of the states. but none the less they are terrible.
just renewed my yearly auto registration. $360 / yr. and michigan sales tax was a one time. 6%
you pay a yearly property tax on vehicles too. we just have property tax on actual land, houses, buildings, not on assets like a car. thats f'd in the A. unless its just Called...
I thought the same but I got rid of the gen 2 as well and don't regret it. there were a few recalls and fixes for that but the cam phasers (which were fixed who knows if they were the right new parts since it was before the recall happened). and the white smoke from the exhaust scared me...
now time to get the agricover bed rail system. its designed for the lomax bed cover. same company. they have bed rack for overloading and ladders etc.
truck-bed-racks
I am happy with the lomax, I also put the tailgate seal in, the rubber piece that covers the gap between bed and tailgate, also the back seal for the bed up by the back window. I get no water in to speak of.

I wish I could do the bed rug. for a nice clean padded bottom while getting in and out but I would destroy it with the types of tools I put in there. I went with the husky bed mat, truxedo tonneaumate, and lomax stance bed cover (urethane finish that looks like the spray in liner).
