Software Update for Full Screen CarPlay

Will they roll out to 2021's? Thought I saw where they wouldn't but maybe I'm mistaken.

These are starting to roll out (albeit slow AF) via OTA updates....seems like more and more folks are posting they got it overnight. Unfortunately I havent got it yet

Honest question, does the vehicle have to be parked outside. Within satellite signal to get the OTA update? I leave mine in the garage and it gets no Wi-Fi or satellite signal.

I believe it needs to be connected to your home wifi.

Is there anything I can look at on Sync that tells me the actual version? SA says they have to hook it up to the FDRS machine/analyzer to tell.

Yes...2 ways from the infotainment screen. 1) Go to Setting - More Settings - About…your vehicle info will be listed there or 2) You could click Apps - Ford Pass - Vehicle Info…find truck info there.

not that I know of. you have to be connected to wifi as far as I know.

According to the folks over on the Gen14 forums it is actually being pushed out just over cellular / AT&T (even if you are connected to wifi it will still only use cellular). I haven't been connected to wifi and have gotten all updates OTA less the recent 3.5.3 that has just started to get rolled out (again after a couple month pause).

Can’t wait for my update to come through. Ford dealer wants $100 to do the update.
