When everybody is getting these scheduled to get fixed, are they taking your word for it since there is now a known TSB for it or did they observe the problem previously? I have video proof of mine that I was battling a couple times with my local dealer, but when they have the truck, they tell...
Wanting to do the same thing. Hoping to find a set closer to home. I have been scrolling Craigslist and nobody is selling them locally. I don't understand why Ford wouldn't sell these. I understand it is for the 37 pp, but still.
Might be for your reverse brake assist deactivated or reverse traffic alert deactivated. My sensors always get messed up in the cold and wet weather and these notifications go off constantly. You should get an alert initially telling you what deactivated.
I got my Rokblokz last week and installed the fronts yesterday. I used the original factory Ford screws because they seemed long enough. Anybody do the same? Any issues?
Try the Timbren Bump stops. They are easy on and easy off. I only put mine on when I tow my boat and put the stock bump stops back on the rest of the time. Probably not as good as having air bags, but definitely a cheaper solution.
Roush has been using an active exhaust system since around 2015. My Dad has a Roush phase 3 with the active exhaust and never had this clicking sound. Roush's setup can't be any different than what Ford's is.
Mine does the same thing. The one thing I did notice is the clicking does not last as long when it is warm outside. Last winter in the cold the clicking lasted a lot longer than what I noticed over the summer. During the summer, the clicking may have lasted for only 10 - 15 seconds.
Same thing happened to me. I left mine with the dealer overnight as well and they claim they didn't hear anything. However, they did hear it on the recording on my phone. I am just waiting on the cold and the actual resolve from Ford before I take it back to the dealer.
I just received my check in the mail yesterday. I received my truck last September 15th. I paid MSRP for mine. I don't totally remember when I actually received my letter and sent it in. Had to be in June sometime.
I haven't complained to anybody, but my Retrax let's more water in than I was expecting. I installed it myself following their directions. Not sure if adjustments can be made or not.
I would maybe question the Ceramic Speed Shine you used. It contains Ethyl Silicates. If the lenses are polycarbonate, polycarbonate plastic does not resist most Ethyl based chemicals. Here is a link to a chemical resistance on polycarbonate. Check the ingredients and make sure none of that...
Ok, but what are they? I could understand there being a defect if one headlight cracked, but the fact that both of them started cracking the same time after you washed your truck is why I question what you used on your truck. I work with plastic and polycarbonate in particular so just trying...
What did you use to clean it with? I am assuming the headlights are polycarbonate (PC). PC is strong and actually used for bulletproof glass, however, there are some chemicals that can crack it and make if very brittle. Even Windex can be bad for PC.
My truck is at the dealer now for a couple recalls. I am having them look at my exhaust again for the second time for the rattle. I sent them a couple of videos of the noise. I will see what happens.
20 1/8". What are you towing? I tow a 6k lb boat and don't have any drop on my hitch. I have a B&W adjustable 5" drop hitch and I have it set at the top position.
I agree. I had a 2016 Yukon Denali prior to this. After towing my boat for 2 hours on the highway, I felt like the Denali definitely felt more stable and a better overall tow. This works for what I am towing since I am only towing about 6k, but I was hoping it would have been a little better...
Looks great. Those might be the rims I get if I don't get a set of the 37 PP rims (different color though). Most likely these will be cheaper than getting a set of the 37 stock rims.
Is your truck a 35 or 37? That is a different setup than what Timbren sent me. Different bracket for sure and the bump stop looks different also. I will say, Timbren was very responsive in getting me something that worked. Once I contacted them, new parts were at my door in a couple of days.
