    Spare as a permanent replacement

I've been debating about doing this for exactly the same reason; the only downside is no TPMS unless you install it. Plus, most likely my spare wheel would get scratched up just as much., so little point. When I get new tires I will buy 5 and a TPMS unit so I can 5 tire rotate.

2014 Gen I vs. 2017 Gen II Suspension Impressions

I think almost as big an upgrade as going from G1 to G2 shocks.

    Start button isn’t flush

That ain't right, but I'm afraid I don't know about the tabs. Might ask the dealer where they are.

    Heat Gun on interior scratch

I like the interior overall but they definitely saved a bunch of money on it for sure. You're right about Dodge tho.

GEN 2 Photos - 2019 Velocity Blue vs 2017/18 Lightning Blue

Saw agate black today. Sorry I have no pictures, but it is metallic like tuxedo black, but much less so. On a scale of Tuxedo to Shadow, it is about a third away from Shadow. Definitely can tell it is more silver/gray than shadow, and it has about 3x the flake density of shadow. That said, they...

    Oil Separator

Considering the 200k torture test eco didn't have a can and was just fine, I would say it is snake oil.

Front passenger fender flare part number

Thanks. So far everyone said they should go back flush. Another part the shop screwed up :/

GEN 2 Photos - 2019 Velocity Blue vs 2017/18 Lightning Blue

I have to go to the dealer Friday, while they won't have 19s I'll try to get a comparison of Agate vs Shadow black. Thanks for the pics weezy - pretty much confirming all the aesthetic changes are for the worse.

Front passenger fender flare part number

When you put them back on were they warped and not flush or did they go back on without issue?

    Vibration

Definitely. Never had a set of BFGs that didn't start to tank in performance at 10k. The KMs will typically start howling around then. My K02s got louder by 11k for sure

The stigma of owning a Raptor

Yup. The whole off-road renaissance the market is enjoying is all thanks to the Raptor. It is the same as the luxury car crew looking down on truck owners, not realizing the base price of some of HDs is twice as much as their car is worth. People just don't have perspective, and for some reason...

    Vibration

One of the many problems with KO2s is their difficulty to balance as well as their reluctance to stay balanced. I'm pretty sure mine are out of wack but it isn't bad enough to warrant the time/cash to fix them.

The stigma of owning a Raptor

This. Raptors have this image of being insanely expensive pushed by jealous people that can't afford them, and so they draw a lot of ire. I've gotten way more dirty looks than compliments on my truck, and I always get embarrassed when people make a big deal about it at work, but I bought it for...

    Fender flare no longer flush

So the idiot at the paint shop did a number on my truck. Thankfully I'm getting a full refund, but in addition to messing up my interior door panel and my pillar piece, my front fender flare has a small gap between it and the fender now. Is this normal after removal (plastic warped), or do I...

    Heat Gun on interior scratch

For those wondering, the trim is very resistant to the heat gun if you are careful. I could see this helping in my instance. Reason I know now is the body shop tried the technique on a different area of the panel that they screwed up bad. Thankfully I'm getting a new panel, but thought I'd share...

More on the Fox Live Valve shocks coming on the 2019

Yeah. I'm pretty optimistic for their arrival in our realm. Hopefully they aren't outrageously expensive as aftermarket

More on the Fox Live Valve shocks coming on the 2019

Edit: Here is a review. "Fox was right to wait until Live Valve was thoroughly proven before they released it. I imagined that I'd be concluding with a carefully scripted paragraph that weighed its astronomical retail price against its potential benefits. The bottom line is that Live Valve...

GEN 2 Is the NEW tech package worth it?

And I would argue I have more situational awareness in my truck than you do yours, because I can focus on hazards/changing conditions since I'm not have to adjust for the car in front of me, or worry about following the lay of the road so closely. Driving in DFW traffic is so much nicer with...

    Washing your Raptor

Just use the pressure washer at the self serve stations and you'll alright. Bring your own buckets and mitt, use their water and you'll be good.

    So this just happened.

Looked way better than the gouges from offroad, and a few chips the local gravel trucks so kindly gave me. Just a holdover until I get it Linexed, so it is alright My problem with plastidip is you can't go glossy. So I'll pay the premium for Autoflex at some point

    So this just happened.

So that's what I did wrong. I noticed it was 'patchy' in that it seemed to have parts that were darker and lighter, but I assumed it was from the humidity. The skid plate was smooth but not the fenders.

GEN 2 Is the NEW tech package worth it?

Adaptive cruise is excellent, it makes driving in traffic - or just in general - much more bearable. The braking characteristics vary depending on distance setting - if you use the closest distance, the truck will basically tailgate, and braking will be very sharp in response. If you use the...
