Is there any way to straighten this fender?

This was great. I dropped the liner this morning. The bracket was torn partway through. Aluminum. It didn't want to bend back and stay back but I had enough adjustment range to get the fender almost aligned with the door. Hopefully, bouncing and thrashing around won't tear it further and make it...

    Transmission rebuild cost

Sounds unlikely. That's how I drive and mine has been flawless. Sometimes I wonder just what you have to do to get a twisted tranny. :)

Is there any way to straighten this fender?

No, I can't. I think I'll drop the fender liner when I get a chance.

Is there any way to straighten this fender?

Har. I took a sledge and beat the step back down so that it's close to it's original position. I was hoping that would fix it. No joy.

Is there any way to straighten this fender?

I was wondering that. I don't know how the fender is mounted and don't want to pull it if I don't have to. I didn't see anything out of line when I crawled underneath, but I was wondering if one of the mounts got popped out and needs to be redone. It was me. Slipped off a big rock and dropped...

Is there any way to straighten this fender?

Got a little oops action the other day. Bounced off a rock and jammed the step into the bottom of the front fender. Some minor breakage down low and a bulge out up above which leaves a pretty big gap with the door. Is there any likely fix for this or will I have to live with it? TIA

    broken coil

Any notch type imperfection in the surface can cause a stress riser. Which causes a crack to propagate into the body. Could have been a manufacturing defect or an installation booboo or maybe even a ding from a chunk of gravel. I'm not sure how likely or possible that last one might be. Bottom...

Anyone know when 2024 order banks open?

I've seen them lie to look knowledgeable. I've seen Service Advisors lie for fun. But, yeah, I'd expect an advantage. Maybe they were hoping to either sell you something off the lot or make you go away and stop wasting their time. Dunno.

What's your opinion on the best time to change it? Half the maximum, like the oil?

Thoughts on CPO Gold .. Theft.

Interesting. A cynic would wonder whether Carfax makes money by whitewashing reports for dealers. Dealer pays low trade in because Carfax, sells vehicle with clean Carfax.

I have no direct experience, but the word on the street is that the quality is questionable and that Hennessey won't stand behind their product.

Hennessey isn't popular around here. Folks who might otherwise consider buying a modded truck will run away from Hennessey. Can't say I blame them.

    2024 Raptor

Why are we not talking about the most important feature of the new revision? That big díldo-shaped switch on the center console. It sounds like it's not very stiff on the gen 3 rev one. To be effective it has to be not only shapely, but stiff and stable. Now we're getting into real deal-breaker...

Mileage on new 23 Raptor R

13 mpg on the V6? Sounds like 7.5-9 mpg is about right for an R. If you could get EPA numbers on the V6, you could probably get EPA numbers on the R.

EPA and CAFE and climate panic being what it is, you should expect an "upgrade" to lower numbers.

Get a 17 or pay the extra for 19/20

That's the crappy rear leaf springs and the (gag) 2" block on the rear axle. Worst thing about the Raptor.

    Used 2021 vs 2020 purchase

I don't think so. You want a Raptor. You have to finance it. That's not rational. What you really want is rationalization. Rational would be to keep the Sonata, save your pennies, and pay cash for a Raptor two years from now. It's better to receive interest than to pay it, especially at today's...
