i have a puddle of mud inside my vents and i dont have wires through them. they dont seal that well to begin with.

The radios are 5w which is pretty good for a low cost handheld. they can work up to 2 miles from my expeience but lots of things like hills and trees effect the signal.

Use a harbor freight ATV winch. Jumper cable to your battery for power. Mount to winch to flat plate and have hole cut in it to run a shackle through. attach the shackle to the tow hook. Keep the trailer hooked up to the truck for safety.
