If the ESP is not used during the life of the contract, are you eligible for any sort of refund?
Additionally for those interested, Ziegler is cheaper than Flood by about $50 when using the code "payinfull" right now. That is at least for me with my '19 at 17k miles.
So just my thinking, perhaps it's wrong. If the supercharged v8 is a reality, how has nobody heard the supercharger whine with one of these driving around with how heavily the test mules seem to be stalked?
It makes me think that if the V8 is happening, a non-supercharged option will be...
Is there anyone that can post the information for how to test the solenoid voltages with FORSCAN? For those of us who aren't happy with the ride on the live valve systems, it would be nice to know this for a bit of a "prediagnosis" to gain a bit more information of maybe the cause of the issues...
Understood and I know that part of the ESP as an option. On that note however, who has had a headlight or tail light replaced under the ESP due to one going out? If both are "lifetime" components, I'm guessing the lifetime is past the 125k mark.
Considering an ESP, but wanted to get a straw poll about how many people have ended up using it on their gen 2?
I don't have a sunroof so buying the ESP to fix a broken / thrown track isn't a factor.
Having a '19, I considered that the ESP would be good for the live valve electronics as a...
Agreed. If it's D class, he's not cheaper by far. If it's C class, then yes, he's the cheapest. I shot him a message on the forums and hopefully will hear back soon.
It would be the same as the factory warranty for repairs if you have a tune installed. If the issue can be traced back to the tune, they will not warranty it.
The pricing looks appealing but his pricing sheet is a little confusing as I don't know what class the Raptor is to know the pricing. To contact this guy, do you have a phone number or email? Or is it that creating a log in on that forum is required to PM him?
I would check into a rebuild at that mileage. Depending on your usage of your truck would determine if you "need" larger shocks. They are very expensive and seems like a bit of a fashion upgrade unless you are getting after it with your truck on a regular basis.
This could be just in my head, but I unplugged the modules, drove a little, plugged them back in and the ride seems noticeably better. I wouldn't say it's dramatic, but feeling smoother overall on the bumps around town.
Once again, this could just be in my head or there is some sort of magic...
Does unplugging the modules reset the PCM for the shocks? And if so, does the truck need to be running when you unplug them? Also is one of those plugs or both?
Are the bumper wings required to be removed to take these off? If it's just a rubber piece, I'm guessing you could just pull hard enough with the bumper in place and get them off or am I wrong?
The seat covers do have openings for seat belts and car seat attachment points. There is also a hard plastic tube in the seam where it goes from seat back to seat cushion that you can wedge into the gap between the two which pulls it tight to the seat cushions.
Cover seems of decent quality and fits the raptor well. It wraps around the front of the seat with a corner pocket making it so you can't really fold the seats up individually anymore.
We liked it well enough that we bought another for my wife's car as well. As for wear on the seat, no idea so...
I spoke with Fox today about this matter. You are able to change the valving when cracking them open to rebuild and things will be fine. The Fox rep on the phone even said their race shop which rebuilds the shocks will do it for you if you ask.
Essentially it is choosing to remove or replace a...
As the poor man's raptor though, my guess is that these will do quite well for Ford. The group who's considering a Lariat will think by spending a bit more they can get a really nice looking truck with some "raptor-esque" features. For those who are considering the raptor but are intimidated by...
Updating after installing my Lomax this morning. My notes:
- Solid price from Nick@gotexhaust so thanks for that. All vendors seem to have good pricing, just who I chose to go with.
- The clamps that fix the rails to the bed call for 20 ft/lbs of torque. This seemed incredibly high to me as...
Regardless of where it's made, it's hitting my engine in 1,000 miles (15,000) and going to do 5,000 more miles. I hopefully will remember to get some blackstone tests during black friday if they have any sales for analysis.
