I don’t think it’s a complaint about an expensive option. Had it been a turbo upgrade with a few more horses involved, I wouldn’t have hesitated. My max budget for a vehicle was well above what I paid so it wasn’t the absolute cost. Total matter of preference for many with stock seats. It’s...
Do appreciate that John. And I did see your comparison video which was very interesting. Great to see side by side in real world situations because there is no easy way to do this as a consumer. Not trying to over-work you, but that type of video comparing similar lights is extremely helpful...

This site is a little spotty for trails depending on the state. A few in TX, more in NM, and a lot in CO,UT and AZ for you to check out. Arkansas closer to Dallas where there are quite a few too.
Screen shot I just got off the site:
Sat in both. Liked the way both felt to sit in. Stock seats seemed plenty comfortable and quite supportive for me particularly with the newer bolsters on the sides. Also 6’3” but seemed seat length of stock was adequate. Came down to justifying the cost. Maybe liked Recaro’s slightly more...
Would you pick the Rigid 360’s over the BD LP’s? I tend to lean toward Rigids in general, BUT I think for the round light, that BD hit it outta the park with their LP’s with 8750 lumens for the LP4’s and 10,300 lumens for each LP6 (and they just look bada$$)
I’m definitely of the non-ppf camp. Just too much money and never pays for itself in resale. And, I remind myself, it is a truck. 5 year old truck isn’t gonna get a couple thousand more cuz it’s paint is pristine. And It’s not like I don’t hate to see those first few scratches show up like...
Ah, you’ve seen my 2 little paint projects by now 911: Calipers and tow hooks. I like the little understated touches. I actually like the contrast of the fenders. Don’t really understand doing the bumpers personally but to each their own. Gonna have the “Raptor” on the step color matched...
The Borla video has it’s audio done with good equipment and I think captures the S-type and the ATAK (which I have) pretty accurately. Best listened to with good quality headphones:
I have those, ready to install but my Raptor is Ruby Red so the Stainless Steel won’t look that good like it does on your rig. I plan on roughing them up with sandpaper and painting em Ruby Red before I install.
Will post if my paint ever arrives thru Amazon....
Certainly hasn’t been my experience. 2000 Tundra and 1989 4x4 both over 200k never had anything done to them except routine maintenance. Yeah, I know it’s totally anecdotal but just my experience. I love my Raptor but get the feeling from this forum that there seems to be more maintenance...
I was a Toyota fan for many years. Still have my 2000 Tundra and it is bulletproof; as is my 1989 Toyota 4x4. Don’t think I’ve had anything done to the Tundra cept basic maintenance. I kept waiting and waiting for Toyota to finally come out with a new Tundra, but they are still riding their...
Ah 911, you’ve been on this forum way too long to think you’re gonna get away with a stock Raptor without any Mods.... I’d place bets you’ve got yours modded out within a few months. It’s just freakin addictive.
Dang...never knew you could paint the Eibachs. Like the way they contrast in the silver but a nice coat of Ruby Red woulda gone great with my calipers and tow hooks. Not about to take em off now though!.
Not sure anyone can see your pics...I can’t. Welcome to the forum. You’ll find out all kinds of ways to mod your Raptor here...probably more than you can afford...haha. Good luck and again, Welcome!
If you can spring for it and doesn’t cost too much more than an 18, there is an upgrade of the Fox shocks for the 19. So if you have an 18 and 19 that aren’t too far apart.., might want go with the 19. There was a minor mid-cycle improvement with the 19 (no significant change for the 20).
My dad always said to never buy the first year of a vehicle. Always thought the 3rd year was safest as there are always bugs to be worked out. Haven’t always heeded his advice but seems like a pretty good rule of thumb.
Same truck; Simply for resale in future, if they’re about $4K apart in price or greater, go with the 19, less than 4K, I’d lean toward 20.
And keep saving cash...cuz you’re gonna need it if you hang out on these forums and find out what you suddenly cannot do without. Modding is an addiction...
I’d say most dealer add-on’s you can do better quality on your own.
the worst is the couple hundred dollar up-charge for a ceramic coating. I can virtually guarantee for that price, you’re not getting a true ceramic coating; very likely a spray on with F-11 or TLC or some other quickie spray on...
sorry. Most seem to be interested in the mid pipes where all the action is. I do love the Borla Carbon Fiber tips but it’s a whole lotta extra dough just for that look. I know Borla has a sale going on which is not common. Don’t know of any great prices on the whole set-up. Might be cheapest to...
