What is the plan on bits and pieces?
I highly recommend a tune from @JimIII@JDM. he can probably source some of the bits as well. Plugs, injectors etc.
Looking forward to the build.
I could not have said this any better.
Anyone looking at adding Turbo's, a Blower or any other power adder needs to make sure that there is enough "fun money" to fix shit when you get greedy.
This forum is famous for the saying "if you want a tune for MPG, you bought the wrong truck"...well...
Yes suck....
I have a factory Roush built in their shop not the dealership. The "tune" that Roush uses is a variation of a tune that was designed in-house with help from a guy named Cody Cutforth (Stang Hi) Cody learned some of the tune from Jim at JDM.
The Roush tune was built to accomplish...
This is what I was referring to earlier. Seems like quite a few plugs end up like this.
Side Note... were your upper and lower plugs different? When I took out my factory plugs, I had 8 with blue stripes and 8 with grey stripes.. Dont remember what color was top or bottom though..
Not sure what kind of fear monger your mechanic is, but there are barely any issues with Roush or Whippled Raptors. The choice of fuel/tune and maturity level makes a big difference in how or what breaks.
I dont recall having any issue with length on those wires. I'll climb under and take a look, maybe I unclipped something or cut a zip tie off to get slack.
Yikes... There is no way I would chance running a device on a Fly By Wire throttle that "could potentially have radio interference". Key the Mic and accelerate sounds super sketchy..lol
I think I would spend a little extra and get a tune that adjusts the PCM throttle position sensors instead of...
I love mine. 110,000 and going strong.
If you can find a lower mile 14 that doesn't look like its been abused, grab it. I get offers on mine all the time, so I assume they are getting harder to find and hold their value.
While going to Mid-Perch will be firmer than bottom perch, shocks that have never been rebuilt and still have the original shock oil will ride way worse than fresh shocks on Mid.
Depending on what you are intending to do with your truck, and what budget you have, there are a bunch of options.
