Gen 1 lower plug wire boot out

Did plugs and wires on my '13 a few weeks back. 94k and they were originals. Boot was fused to a few of the bottom plugs and broke in the same manner pulling it off. The green near the break almost looks like corrosion to me.

Hoping that this was just a bad batch of plugs, seen some similar stories on the forum. Crazy that you didn't have any codes though.

Makes me wish I used NGK's but I had already bought Motorcraft replacements. Be sure to use some grease on the boots when you replace the rest.View attachment 137157 View attachment 137158

This is what I was referring to earlier. Seems like quite a few plugs end up like this.
Side Note... were your upper and lower plugs different? When I took out my factory plugs, I had 8 with blue stripes and 8 with grey stripes.. Dont remember what color was top or bottom though..

Mine were all blue stripes but the bottom half had a white paint on the tips where the tops didn't. What year is your truck?
