On some ford rear ends (only ones I have seen) there are a couple of bolt holes that go all the way through so that the end of the bolt is exposed to the elements on the back side (front of diff) this lets water/salt get in the hole and rust the hole and the bolt. This is in my experience why...
BFG says the tire specs are the same as far as size.
Speed rating is 112 for Jeep and 118 for raptor. Both are above the factory speed limiter of 107 for a gen2 (gen3 is 113)
O8884 for the Jeep
07361 for Raptor version
You can go to BFG website, KO2, 315/70R17 and it will list all 3 versions.
The jeep and raptor versions have all the same specs except speed rating.
I just had this debate with myself and had decided on toyo's until I found out that SOME KO2's are on a heavy discount from SOME distributors.
Specifically, the part # that comes OEM on the Jeep's
Here is a picture (understand I run a service/tire shop)
The top part number is the OEM for...
You can Eco or you can Boost. You can't have both at the same time.
I can, if I care, get almost 19mpg out of my Raptor but geeze that is boring AF. I can only stay in the slow lane for a few hundred yards at a time.
Having a 7.3 PSD that gets about 12mpg at 75 mph for 20 years makes it so I...
That is because they don't actually know that much about vehicles, beyond the basics.
But some how they have created a YouTube empire so to speak. Years ago( 5 or more) They did a video that did not make the Ford (F150 I believe) look real well. Ford got pissed, band them from product...
Yep about $2500 each new.
Takes some special software to get the BLIS module to work with a different vehicle.
So I imagine they are just using the lens and swapping original BLIS module to stolen assembly to make it work.
Ford really needs to sell the two pieces separately.
I was rooting for you, but I am not surprised. My aluminum shock guards have the texture of 20 grit sand paper after so many hits by rocks.
Do you have a mid mud flap? I think that would help a ton.
Hell the Pinon end of my drive shaft is a little beat up, also.
Absolutely!!! The "moose test" is an evasive maneuver test.
But YES a good percentage of the time, hitting and object is 100's of times better.
About 30 years ago around here, there was an 18 year old girl who on a major interstate in a construction zone, swerved to miss a "orange barrel "...
Diesel has a higher flash point. It doesn't vaporize as easy. Which is interpreted as a higher octane.
Gasoline will actually put out a match also. It is the vapors that burn (which is why atomization is so important).
And yes, diesel is denser than gasoline. So gallon for gallon diesel...
Actually, diesel fuel has a lower Octane than gasoline. That is why it has to be injected in the cylinder at precisely the right time.
Diesel engines were direct injected long long long before gasoline engines.
That hitch is cool. It would probably getting ripped off hanging down that low were I go. But maybe not.
Either way it is cool, and I can see it's usefulness.
The Raptor fails the "moose test" in the towing test, the suspension can't hold a trailer from swinging outside the lane during an evasive maneuver (vs a regular f150)
Not to pick on you personally, that picture reminded me. So information for everyone.
I stuff all my open spaces like that with old Beach towels (and couple extra sets of gloves).
Keeps stuff from bouncing/rattling around and there are tons of uses for towels vs "foam" which has really no...
