Sub Upgrade JL $3439 vs Pioneer $339

Look around on the sub threads already here...for what you say you want, I would look at the Mobile Toys dual enclosure, and then talk to them about what subs work well with it based on what you want to spend over that. Most folks go back with JLs, but you can do whatever you want. Check this...

    Bed extender and tool boxes

I got one for free with my MX-4 back when they had a deal going, but have yet to install it. Good to hear some real-person positive feedback on it...thanks.

    Bed extender and tool boxes

Bak makes a BakBox tool box that goes under the BakFlip...not the biggest, but collapses when not in use to allow the full bed use. The other small ones go along the bed cavities between the wheel wells and the tailgate. I have the Ford bed extender. Not wild about it, because it's nearly...

Narrowed down to 2 wheels, need help.

I like the VRs, but they now look a good bit like the 2019 stock wheels. That may be a plus or a minus for you.

OK to always leave in 4A?

You may already have, but, if you haven't, the recent TSB/flash for the transmission cured the hard 4-5 sport shift for me (and others). I would recommend it, and I agree about the original lack of confidence in some areas/bugs.

OK to always leave in 4A?

Yep. For me, main issues are fuel economy and steering feel...it's much heavier in 4A, which is not always welcome in standard on-road driving.

    Mud guards do they help?

Absolutely...it's not the wheels...it's the open running board that's the problem. The Huskys do a good job, but some stuff still comes through the running board farther back. The only true solution would be to attach something to the bottom of the running board that makes it a solid barrier.

    USB2 "hack" on Gen2

Sorry if I'm missing the point here, but why don't you use the 2 USB ports provided? I also use an Anker dual USB lighter charger in the console to charge other devices.

Is the PAC Amp Pro 4 compatible with the 2018 Raptor? (B&O sound system)

    1. Probably, based on what you describe. 2. The NavTV Zen is the only option out there now for the 2018 B&O to easily add an amp/sub(s). 3. Yes. See the "Audio Upgrade Under $500" thread. For the 2018 B&O, I would not replace the rear 6.5s unless you add an amp. The B&O just does not send much...

    Auto stop eliminator

I tow periodically, and just plug it back in. Does exactly what I want it to do, for free. Just not worth $100 to me, YMMV.

2018 Raptor in the garage - Mods?

    1. Ford Raptor Lights 3 light kit...best looking, best produced kit there is. I have 2 radiant amber Rigids and a KC Flex on each side, total was $780. You can go up in quality on the lights, but their kit is the best. I think they include it now, but make sure you get the inside wheelwell...

    Stereo Upgrade

Switching 6x9s to 6.5s should not tax any decent installer at all. The main reason to go back with 6.5s is you have so many more options to choose from...many top-line companies don't even make 6x9s. 6x9s have more surface area/move more air, but the ovoid shape does not distribute the forces...

DIY stereo upgrade for under $500.00

Glad you like it. I am generally pleased with my JBLs, although I would do components like you did if I had it to do over. I also wouldn't bother with the rears again for just a speaker swap, because the B&O amp has such a front bias. The low impedance of the JBLs/Infinitys makes the upgrade...

DIY stereo upgrade for under $500.00

Again, I understand all that, but I still think it is misleading. One of the best factory stereos out there in the past was the Volvo/Dynaudio systems, that actually had Dynaudio speakers in them. That option wasn't anywhere near $7K; it just was an actual collaboration instead of a...

DIY stereo upgrade for under $500.00

I know that...I just didn't type B&O Play over and over. Some of my first posts were about the B&O Play system as I was deciding between a 2017 and a 2018 Raptor, looking at all available information out there on it. I wasn't expecting a true B&O system from the top-line Audis. But I also wasn't...

    Stereo Upgrade

I would agree with the rears in these trucks, especially given the low location in the kickpanel...you're never going to get more than fill from there, so save some money there. On the speakers, for the money he's spending, yeah, I'd go with something better than Infinitys. But, let's not act...

If you are having any transmission/shift issues with your 2018...

Take it in and get the "new" transmission flash from Ford. Mine was not terrible, but had a REALLY hard shift between 4-5 in Sport mode. I had mentioned it several times in service visits, but the techs said there was nothing wrong/they could do. I kept mentioning it just in case something...
