Cobb goodies from @GooseTuned went on today:
Cobb HCT CAI w/ dry filter
Cobb coolant resi cover
Cobb radiator shroud
FMIC, AMS pipes, and Turbosmart VTA BOV go in this weekend. Then..... TURN IT UP! :burnout:
I'd also converted from Mopar stuff to the Raptor. I agree with everything you are saying. The goofy gear selector in the new 1500's is a big reason why I didn't go with a Ram, to be honest. I just don't understand why designers think that's a great idea.
I've just been trying to get used to a...
I get it. Still happens though (exploding sunroofs) especially on large roof glass. It's not necessarily the fault of the tint. But the increased thermal stress can eccentuate issues in an already flawed piece of glass. And, pop. Would it have went pop anyway eventually, maybe....
It's been a...
That's crazy. Glad it's getting fixed! Also strange a tint shop would have tinted your sunroof. Did you have to sign a waiver? Sunroofs tend to pop (blow out) if they are tinted....
I missed that Antho. Thanks! I see the black sections of the mating surface are scolloped. A really dumb design. But, I'd still be really surprised if the actual mating surface (screw hole to screw hole) is on a different plane. I don't know how a beadlock would work if it was. That would take...
It's a strange beauty ring design for sure. I would be really surprised if the mating surface wasn't all on one plane when the beauty ring is removed though. That's probably why they include new bolts (because the bolts for the beauty rings are longer).
Anodizing would be the ticket for sure. Very durable and a nice "machined" effect you just can't get with powdercoat or paint. You could black oxide the bolts too, if they're not already coated...
Just got around to cleaning the truck today. I used Griots SATIN tire coating. Tire looks exactly as it should. Not greasy, very low amount of shine. Good stuff :waytogo: I guess I'll leave the Hot Shine for my wife's Durango (yes, it has a Hemi). She listens to DMX so it's fine.
Most likely applied by robot. Incredibly consistent finishes, but if the settings are off, oh boy... that means a LOT of trucks have some thin-a55 paint. Yikes.
