Hey everyone. I'm kind of a lurker on here and don't post much, I searched through this forum section and the suspension section and didn't see what I was looking for.

My apologies if this is a repost.

My Raptor has about 78,000 KM (48,000 Miles) and its still 100% stock. I daily drive on alot of gravel roads with some very rough wash boards and I was wondering if theres any type of maintenance I should be considering for the factory Fox shocks.

I'd love to get some King or Fox coil overs, but thats an expense I just cant do, so as such I'd like to keep my factory units happy as long as I can.

I should also mention that I live up north in central Canada, so my Raptor is subject to some pretty extreme cold temperatures in the winter, and the harsh chemicals used to keep the roads from icing up. As such, the exterior bodies of my shocks are quite tarnished and pitted.

The truck is a 2010 scab 5.4, blue flame.

The only thing I do before winter is apply a liberal coating of an anti-corrosive spray on the shocks.

So just soak the shocks with it and let it air dry?

I know this is veering off topic a little, but the bolts to my leaf springs are rusted to hell. Truck is not even 11 months old from the build date. Any suggestions for that?

I know the 3.0's should be rebuilt yearly, or after some sever pounding, but I think the stock shocks should be find as long as the don't appear to have any oil seepage.

Maybe Fox will chime in.

I've read that it's a good thing to clean the outside of the shocks and then apply a good automotive protecive wax. That S100 product is new to me. How does it work?
