Yes sir, that's it. I'm glad to see that you're going to do it yourself. It's the only way to be certain that top quality oil and a top quality filter were used.

Be advised that the 7 quarts in our big 6.2L engines will overflow the normal 6 quart drain pan. As a consequence, I've learned to drain in two stages.

Yes that is it .

Sorry we over laped there .

I agree with Ruger . That and some guys are pulling the entire skid plate and if that works for you cool.
I will say the access hole provided works great . Just crack the filter after draining your oil. Once you crack it just back it off enough to let the oil from the filter drain slowly and it will run right down the ramp Ford designed for this purpose.

Haha, it indeed loves me. I feel like it has more power. It definitely can coast up to a red light a lot better now. I'll have a Raptor avatar soon enough!

So I take it most of the guys in here are using mobile 1?? I'm getting ready to change the oil in my raptor and was trying to figure out the best oil to use.

I use Mobile 1 oil and filters on everything I own. Even use Mobile one in the lawn mower. I did a comparison on filters some years ago and there isn't a filter on the market that comes close to Mobile 1 filters.

CAUTION: DO NOT run anything in your Raptor other than what is specified. Modern engines can be and are engineered to closer tolerances than in the past, and the specified oil is what will work best. Use a thicker oil and there may not be sufficient volume of oil getting to some surfaces. Wear problems will not evidence immediately and may not be specificially identifiable when a failure occurs, but there will be effects and they will be negative if you run too heavy an oil. If anything, err on the lighter side.

Hmmm, guess my 2012 Shelby Gt 500 is not so tight then ?, its 5.4 requires 5w-50 oil !
