Zoomed in 2012 SVT Raptor Photo Snipits...

I don't buy into the projector thing. This picture of the truck is the one that the 2012 chop is based on and is my wallpaper on Google and has the dark spot and it's advertised as a 2011. It's a twin to my truck.

I'm not talking about the dark spot, I'm talking about the lighter ring around the dark spot, that doesn't look the same in that pic you posted. Between that, and past raptor photos usually had more of a yellowish look on all the released photos, and these ones all look much more white/blue, I'm hoping its a hint from Ford!

Also, anyone note the chrime skull caps for the mirrors in the third picture in the original post? Ugly.

that ones really odd lol. You'd figure it was the same photoshop as the other one, based off the same background but just layered wiht the partially revealed brake rotors. Certainly odd lol. Definitely don't foresee any chrome appearing on the 2012's.

New pic released!!! Well a higher resolution pic of the silver one!

And unfortunately it does look ilke the headlights are the same in the photoshop as the original pic, the smaller one must have been an odd effect of the compression/downsizing that gave it the appearance of a projector style look. I'm still holding hopes though that they are offering HID's from the more bluish headlights in the other photoshops, since halogens definitely aren't that blue lol

Put some side-by-side to the original pic too. The area around the corner lamps looks blacked out, but in the original it was already shaded, and you can tell they increased the darkness on the new photoshop, so doubt thats an actuality plus the red and blue ones were still body colored.

Can see a better view of the bedside graphics and they look like it's 2 tone black. Maybe satin and flat streaks in that area and the "RAPTOR" text goes across into the black area. Pretty much decided I'm NOT getting bed graphics, just hood.

Looking at the pics side by side, my 3rd attachment, the rims are certainly bigger, look to be 18's vs. 17's, but I wouldn't hold my breath at all on that one, very easily a photoshop side effect.

Wonder when Ford's "Build your own" will go live for the 2012's?! Or will release official press photos?! I can't wait!!

Interesting... I don't think that the wheels are larger, I think it's just the fact that there is no "lip" on the edge for a definite line where it ends. It plays with your perception as to how large it really is when the spokes go all the way to the end.

I almost like the area behind the lights being blacked out.

There's still a lip, just doesn't look to be quite as large.

I took the left half of the original an the right half of the '12 chop, and you're right the wheels do look the same size when they're overlaid. The truck is scaled about as close to the same as I could get in paint. The right side is shifted up a hair, but it's consistent at the wheel, flare, and cab, so based on that snipit, they do look the same size.

I'm kind of liking the blacked out light surround too. Surprised nobody sells a vinyl kit to do that yet.

Yeah, the wheels might suck but depending on the features and powertrain, wheels are a simple change.

Every two years they changed the wheels on the Lightning. Likely doing the same for the Rap.
