I did watch the video on them. That little motor is making some power no doubt! Will you qualify for the 3/36000 racing it however?
in your case do you really need or just want all the stock functionality back that the truck comes with from factory? Are you still putting it on the street a lot? It would be nice to have a fully functioning truck like factory in ways if so.
As stated before, I want to retain the ABS and braking system characteristics with mode switching. I also do appreciate the stability control differences.
Traction control and stability control are super expensive in the aftermarket. Not a useful spend for me.
And once you yank the stock booster/master setup, you have to contend with ABS not working properly and all sorts of other problems that arent an improvement.
I dont need a motec ecu for all of the things that it can do on a race vehicle.
My raptor is my trail truck. it is for fun. at most serious, it can be used for prerunning or as "fast chase".
None of those roles require a bazillion horsepower and no one is timing me. Doubling the power output to the wheels would be just fine. and yes, their warranty wsould apply to my truck if I did it.
I would rather find out who to buy the supporting parts from to make the modes work. I'd ideally prefer to have a motor built (I prefer NA, but would want to give it a bit more balls) and I'd prefer a manual valve body transmission.
