I'm with you on wringing it out everytime. It'd be nice to have the power without feeling like you are pushing the motor to the limit everytime. Did the guys at Hyperfast mention whether they do any upgrades to the 5.0 and the trans to make them handle 700HP? Or do they just drop the Whipple on the stock motor and trans and crosss their fingers?

I have two deck overs and haven't ever had an issue with too high COG, but I wouldn't mind a drive over like you have. It'd be nice to be able to get things on my trailer besides just trucks with big tires and good approach angles!

I'll have to try MPT tunes. I love the power of my 5 star tunes, but the general driveability isn't great. Surges too much, and the shifting leaves a lot to be desired.

You ever going to paint those bedsides? Throw some white on those flares on your F250 while you are at it! J/K. Both good looking trucks.

I talked through trans upgrades with them. you would probably want to do the clutches and torque convertor upgrades that the mustang drag folks are doing.

I honestly wouldn't want to go supercharged if I could help it. I'd rather go NA with cam and head work. If I were to go Supercharged, I'd want to go procharged instead of Whipple.

They didn't seem too keen on me supplying my own motor because I'm pretty certain that they're making half of the margin on the parts.

I will have the bedsides wrapped, as well as the fenders. If I can get the front fenders fitted before my next run, I may just leave them white ( running out of time.)

The whole truck will get re-wrapped after it gets the cage and I get around to replacing the passenger side doors. ( i crunched them pretty good)

I'd rather have NA too, but to get to those kins of power levels I'd think you would be looking at $20K+ motor anyway. It might hold together better though. Did that $26,500 they quoted include the trans upgrades?

How did you manage to crunch your passenger doors? Pics?

it did not include trans upgrades. It was for the basic package that they offer with the whippled 5.0 and stock trans.

Crunch happened when a cactus jumped up and bit me while I was sliding sideways at speed.

The Gen 3 Coyote has a forged crank, Boss 302 rods, and hypereutectic pistons. Not completely bomb proof but pretty strong. The Mustang/F-150 guys are raising hell with these and they hold up pretty well. There are several RCSB F-150 guys in the 9s with a Whipple build.

Here's a video I happened across recently while researching Hellion twins for my upcoming 6.6 install.

I haven't heard of very many failures at the 700 RWHP level. You just need to upgrade the oil pump gears and crank sprocket.

If I did that, I'd have to get paddles and hang out at Glamis, doing wheelies of course. :poker:

They're doing 9's in the 1/4 with just a whipple in a RCSB? If so, that's pretty insane. I assume that if the Hyper guys are offering a 3/36 warranty they must be confident in their product. Definitely something I'll look into more. Those Helion turbos look fun too.

Zombie, you have to watch out for cactus crossings in the desert. Pretty sure you don't get points for running them over...
