raptor frame is different.

I don't even want or need a 10 speed. manual valve body 5 or 6 speed trans will do what I want it to.

I'm gonna call them. I'm curious to know what they use for signal translation. If they are using all factory ford parts, that is pretty slick.

I thought the frame difference up front was just the coil buckets. Would be interested to know for sure if you do happen to talk to them about motor mounts.

42K to swap a coyote in? They are out of their minds. The crate motor is 6200. The supercharger is 9500. The motor mount fab would be minimal. The transmission gets reused. I can think of maybe 18-19K at retail pricing in parts. $24K for the labor is a bit steep, unless the truck has to sit there for 2400 hours, which seems like quite a bit of time.

Who else besides hyperfast? Hennessey doesn't count because Id never see my truck again.

Heard of anyone LS swapping one?

If you decide to do a Hennessey swap I can help you out. I live about 20 min from his shop. I can drive by and make sure tings stay on task for you. But then again it would still be at least a 6-12 month build.

I appreciate the offer, but I would never send a vehicle to Hennessey.

I talked to hyperfast today. 4 weeks for parts, 4 weeks to complete the swap. the truck doesn't need to be there until parts arrive.

I have a bunch more pics that TMX took, and I'm also heading back to baja 9 days with Exo. I'll post plenty of pics once I'm back from the trip.

Here's the rundown of recent additions:

Reconfigured the bed cage. added more supports.

40 x 12.5 BFG KR3s on fifteen52 wheels.

Currie F9 rear, 4" wider than stock, 35 spline, ARB, 300m shafts, truss, skid, all of the bells and whistles.

New deaver +3HD leaf springs ( going to need to switch to +4 HDs if I keep this body work.)

Reconfigured the bumper/lights, added 60" BD racer "plus" lightbar held on by TMX brackets.

arb dual compressor

new seat foam

rewired all of the accessories. ( I think I'm finally happy with how it all works)

new cooler ( collapsed the rtic that I had with the ratchet strap holding it down.)

fitting the 40s was a pretty big undertaking. I havent seen another mid-travel gen2 on kr3s, So I'm gonna go ahead an call out that TMX did it first. The guys over there knocked it out of the park. Doing all the trimming and modifying and relocations and everything else to make them not just fit going straight, but also clearing at full bump with the wheels turned in any direction was HUGELY complicated. No firewalls were harmed in the making of this truck.

havent seen the deberti raptor in quite a while and that6 rockstar garage truck that got rolled is looking like it is dying a slow death with a king ranch cab on it.

that being said, I'm pretty certain my truck is now 1 of 1.

Drives like a big ol dirt Cadillac!

And yes, A super nice instagrammer got me onto the cycle ranch property last weekend when they were closed. I took her around the short course at a slowish pace ( I'm still on the break-in cycle for the rear end) BUT I did air her out a few times and boogied through some small 1 ft whoops. I think she's pretty close to dialed

<MATH>240 hours labor at a standard $100/hour rate... 6 40-hour work weeks labor, or two mechanics for 3 weeks. </MATH>

Price seems steep, but is pretty much in line with what I’d expect for a warrantied driveline change for a vehicle that doesn’t come in that configuration.

Flyin’ Miata charges about the same for their LS V8 swapped “Habu” Miata

When you strip all of the decals and headrests and other ancillary "package" contents, the price hyperfast quoted me over the phone was $26,700, which is actually lower than I had anticipated. 4 week turn around.

Powertrain specs quoted?

Crate motor from ford with a Whipple on it. 700HP to the wheels ( give or take a few ponies), a new 10-speed trans (bolt pattern on the v8s is different).

The price does vary depending on which motor/package you choose.

They will perform the swap with a motor that you provide, but there will not be a warranty through them if you go that direction.

I'm most interested in their strategy ( and I know other shops are doing something similar) because it retains all of the factory functionality ( modes, etc in the raptor).

You could do a canbus scan and go Motec or something, but I find it hard to believe that the brake bias and stability control "modes" would still work in that scenario.

I won't be ready to really even dig back into this until late Nov or December, as I've got plenty of projects and work that needs to be done to the truck, plus I have runs/events scheduled through the end of the year that I don't want to miss.

That all goes out the window if something happens with the motor before then, but I'm hoping not.
