On the third perch it definitely going to be out specially toe.. but not enough to ruin a set of tires in a few hundred miles. You'll be good.

Yes--Mine had to be set as well. Took almost an hour to do because of the thing mentioned already. One reason I have been using Mikes Off Road for almost 30 years despite the fact that I know Mike they do 4wds and very highly modified ones at that everyday. My Raptor is perfect with respect to alignment--for those at the Raptor run here next month can take a look at the tires for themselves.

Never take the vehicle to the Ford Store unless I have no other choice.

LOL I'm sorry guys, to the novice there are tons of pictures and such to understand what each angle does.

I was more posting for those that needed the angles and understand them as is.

Sorry about the brain damage haha, and for the record I don't own stock in Asprin :)

I had mid perch done this week. For the alignment, I didn't need CAMs, but the tech had to 'loosen some stuff up, reposition a wafer shaped 'washer' and tighten everything down at the correct angles'.

Obviously, he was talking to someone that knows nothing about alignments and that was my interpretation. Maybe Hock or Pirate could elaborate.

I think top perch definitely needs cams, though.

I went to the top and there was no mention of cams needed for mine. I even told them that if they need cams I will get some ASAP.

The cams don’t add adjustability, but they greatly simplify the setting and allow them to be locked in.
Without, hard bumps can make the adjustment slip.

Exactly!

As an added measure he used blue lock-tite to secure the setting.

Excellent thread, great info.

You need two cam "kits" for each side (one cam kit for each point where the lower control arm contacts to the chassis, there's 4 points). Usually one box will have two kits, so you should only need two boxes.
Aside from SDHQ, who else sells these? Is there a Ford part number?
