So, at what weight/size trailer would y'all specifically use a Weight-Distributing Hitch? I'm going to be hauling a decently sized enclosed cargo trailer probably loaded to 3,500 gross for about 1500 miles later this summer, and trying to figure if I want to invest in a WDH.
My trailer is about 1800 pounds. I believe my SxS is the same. I pull it without any WDH and it’s fine. In fact, my Gen3 sags much less than my Gen2s did.447535A6-D614-4473-9BD9-DA8409325B35.jpeg78803BF2-248C-44DD-8391-25BFD81D13AF.jpeg

750 miles from Knoxville to NY with this on the back. Got about 14 mpg. Car is right around 3000lb not sure how much the Uhaul auto transporter weighs, I’d guess around 1000lbs The Raptor rides fine with the weight, but you feel it in the curves and when you get on the brakes obviously. 3500 lbs? I dunno but if you have any issues/concerns you can borrow my wife’s MDX if you’d like ;-)

Here's my 19 with +2HD Deavers towing about 6000lbs(?). Was on the highway for about 50 miles and had cruise control set at 71. Really impressed. Raptor+6000lbs.jpg

Right on, this is great info, thanks! I've towed this same size trailer as you with a 2,500lbs Matco chest full of tools, and I definitely felt it in the MPG. I hauled it from Seattle to Portland, and then the return with an empty trailer. This was before I got the Eibachs and Deaver +3HDs though, and I'm sure it'll feel more planted now.

Not too much weight on the hitch to make it sit on the bump stops, but enough to keep it from getting away from you. This is from last weekend. Not sure what the trailer weighs but it's heavy, probably about 10 ex-wives or 20 girlfriends. This is all stock.
