Yes, thankfully....
It made a helluva racket and rocked my truck...I honestly thought for a second that I lost a wheel!!
Thanks for the alternate suggestions, but I gotta say that the OEM units are pretty tough! Plus the finish is pretty resilient to the elements up here (i.e. road salt) which is important to me. I think a powdercoated finish would get hammered off by road debris and start to rust up here after one Winter.
In any event, I think I'm gonna give the PowerSteps a try...they're still about half the price of 1 OEM step!
Frankly wouldn't expect them to last too long and would want to make sure to have a kill switch for them. I am often on very tight rock trails where I would easily mess them up when opening the door and have them hit against a rock. My truck is lifted a bit with Deavers +4, 37s and sits very tall.If either of you see much mud I'd shy away from the Power Steps. At TRR ours got so gummed up with mud after the second run that they wouldn't go all the way up. Had to spray the mud off and "help" them get back in place to get them to close. We pulled the fuse so they wouldn't come down anymore for the weekend. The Driver's side occasionally doesn't want to go all the way up now either without a little assistance. The front edge of it seemed to catch a rock and I think it may have tweaked the board enough to make it not want to close correctly. They are great steps (have them on 3 vehicles), but not when you really get after it off road.

I hate mud and prefer to stay away from it whenever possible! Ultimately I was hoping to find a super short powered step - just for the rear that my kids to make it in the truck easier, but I haven't found such a product anywhere.
