I will talk to the wife. She told me no more vacations that involve the Raptor (5 raptor runs in less than a year did her in, she went on 3 of them). But maybe I can convince her since we haven't been up there and we can see "Yellowstone" too. Will report back....

Just want your guys input on the two hotels I'm looking at. None are cheap as August is prime tourist season. Even Motel 6 is around $80 to give you some perspective.

Comfort Inn & Suites: $109 group rate per night, double queen/non-smoking/up to 4 nights. Arrive Friday, August 7th. Depart as late as Tuesday, August 11th.
They have a frig and microwave in each room

Hampton Inn & Suites: $129. Same as above

Overall the Hampton Inn & Suites has a little more upscale feel while the Comfort Inn & Suites is $20 cheaper per night and has a frig and microwave in each room. They both have decent parking for our rigs. Both have decent breakfasts from 6-10 am.

I'm leaning towards accepting the Comfort Inn & Suites deal. More details after I finalize the contract but just wanted to see if there was any feedback before I do.

So you staying at the same motel each night? Making a run and come back, repeat each day? I was thinking it was a run that had a different motels along the run each day.

Yep, same hotel each night. There's not much out there anyways and these 'loops' will work well I think.

I vote Comfort Inn. Sounds like more for less to me. Also, I'm more concerned with cleanliness than "newness".

I walked through the Comfort Inn tonight and it looked good. Reviews seem very good also.
