whoa, your from cape coral?

Sort of, I moved there when I was 18 and lived there for 3 years until I joined the Army. I still live there on paper, but, between the Army and contracting in AFG I've not had a place to call home since 2007.

Wish I could make this and it looks like a TON of fun!

I just have one thing to add while we had the blizzard of snow down here in OK couple years ago. I clogged the Air filter so bad with snow it almost didn't get me home and this was less than an hr of driving. I think most of it happened in a 4-5ft drift that I drove through but then really finished it off in the pasture with at least 2.5 ft of snow everywhere. The motor wouldn't go over about 3500 rpms and on the way back home less than 30 mins away it went into limp mode. Had to Shut off the truck wait and then baby it home.

Anyways I HIGHLY suggest an extra air filter. That way you can change it out and have one thawing in the heated cab while the other one keeps you going. I didn't see it any where in the first INFO post or from 50% of the thread I read through. Just a suggestion because I kept my first OEM filter for this scenario if my K&N clogs up.

Not a bad suggestion, but another easy fix is adding a non-rigid screen or cheese cloth to the airbox inlet which in most cases prevents ice/snow build up around it. Also, for people with CAI's I would suggest looking into an Outwears prefilter.

Thats what I'm leaning towards. But then again there is a part of me that says I want to just solo the whole trip to say I did it. Make it my own little snowball 5000. I'm also thinking if I know I have to drive all the way back home, it will force me to be on better behavior when I'm on the actual run.
