This should be really cool Jason.

I'm stoked to be able to head out and meet everybody from the Midwest who is attending. This may be a dumb question, but whats the laws up there about studded snow tires? I use to drive on those when I lived in Aspen CO and loved them, the grip was nuts.

No studs or chains on public roads unless its a government vehicle.

Studded tires are newly legal (as of a year ago) but based on the link below they're not really legal...

And there you have it. RPG is attending with a Truck from SoCal.

Jarrett,
Chains and Studs are illegal in MI. Little studs you might be able to get away with but they are illegal to use on public roads.

We're at 18 trucks.

Thats with out 6isntenough, McManus, Netflix, justvettn, SVTlightning00, Java, Mr Dainels, Gunpilot and a few others.

This could end up being the second largest Raptor Run.

Also going to need pm's regarding , racks and who is in for what. 012bluesvt (Joe) is drawing up a tonneau cover tire rack, so if that's what you want, wait till he has it drawn up and its what you want, and then pm me. But i need to start getting material ordered for all of this. also, I will probably require payment (at least partial or deposit) around the first of the year, just to make sure I don't bring your rack all the way up there, just to realize you sold your Raptor 2 weeks earlier! Thanks guys!

Jimmy I have the vertical rack list incorparted into my registration list at work.

Heres is the List I have.

RaptuRR might be in for a under the tonneau one though?

WSI, I am on the list, but agree with Rapturr, I dont want to remove my Retrax and would like to incorporate a horizonal tire rack with gas can holders. Please PM me your email address/phone so we can chat and I can send you some drawing ideas...

Thanks

Please keep me in the loop. I'm in the same boat as Big Blue. Would prefer to keep the Retrax on and the trail gate up. Maybe storage for a floor jack and such under the tire. I'll PM you my info to WIS.

OK, not in perspective, but the general idea is good. This I think would be perfect for anyone with a retrax or backflip as it will allow you to close top, yet still carry gas cans a horizonal tire. Gas cans are 18" high and the tonnoux cover is 21", so we shoudl be fine. As long as you use the 2nd set of bolts (from the bulk head) and the bolts closest to the tailgate, the rack would not interfer with retrax canister or bedbox with backflip.
