all you have to do is read the first page it has all the info you will need for hotels you can read 70 some pages if you want to but its all on page 1

That would be great! Hopefully a can gradatate from that group and move forward once I get my skill level down a bit and my nerves disappear. (I'm sure they will)

Hah! Someone to drive back to MN with.

For the hold down bit, this is the route I'm going. I don't know for sure if they will work without modification(bolt hole size), but, they're cheap($3.20 each) and metal is easy to modify.

Repost from earlier in the thread:

I'm going to go with putting D-Rings in the bed to hold the spare down for the run. Since I do not think I'd have the spare in the box enough to justify buying/storing one of the vertical racks.

I found a different post than the one already mentioned on a tacoma forum that showed using OEM ones that came in Dodge Sprinter Vans.
