I found the opposite to be true that it is usually cheaper to go to the vendors with a phone call. I have been told by the supplier of an optics company that they won't compete with their vendors. I don't know if the suppliers here have a similar policy, but I have got a much better deal on most of my mods by a direct phone call to lighting, suspension and protection parts vendors. These guys will have my continued support.

I agree.. Calling or talking to them on FRF is the best way.. Ordering online usually results retail pricing.. Plus offering to sport their stickers and swag and giving rights to use photos helps..

Thanks. I just wondered, I didn't have anything to go by except the references to it much earlier in this thread. There was a mention of an email announcement. But, I registered pretty late and thought I might have missed it. Also thought SVT might have a limit so they don't have a whole bus load of oversized little kids drooling on their stuff

If you haven't received an email, I'll resend tomorrow along with an email to the recently registered participants.

I was talking with ICONrep this morning and wasn't quite sure if I gave him a thank you in this thread.

I would really like to thank ICON for the following sponsorship items:

1 set of front and rear “USED” 3.0 shocks- Discounted pricing

Raffle Prizes:
1 set of front 3.0 coilover shocks – Value $2625.00
1 set of Uniball upper arms – Value $1548.75
1 set of Lower skid plates – Value $393.69

Entrant Swag packShirts to each registered entrant w/ stickers – Value – $1280.00 (16.00ea shirt + 2 stickers)

ICON has shown alot of support to the SnoBall 500.

I would also like to thank ICONRep for reaching out to KC HiLites. Because of his help KC HiLites is donating a 300 Lumen flashlight to every registered participant. There is 80 participants right now and the flash light MSRP is $40. Thats a huge donation of $3200 from KC HiLights.

Again thank you for being a major factor in making this event one of the best Raptor Events to date!!!

Do we purchase raffle tickets at the event or before. Don't remember seeing anything pertaining to this. Or maybe I overlooked it in this massive thread. Jack

OK here you go real time snow/driving report from Michigan. Fresh snow just a couple of inches. I took a couple short videos with my iphone, but am too stupid to figure out how to upload them. I'm sure I will get instructions shortly. Anyways on trails that I can usually go 60 I can't get over 25 with 2wd and rear dif locked works best. It gets too squirrely. In 4wd you can easily get to 40mph and feel comfortable. Of course you can't stop.

Prime example why it's only 500 miles over two days! The frozen north isn't the same as a hot sandy desert.

Radio?

Those Freqs are mur's freqs. They where chosen due to the ease of finding murs radios if the participant didn't want to spend $200 on a vhf radio.

Can you guys point me in the right direction for a radio for the event?

Oops just saw 012blue radio pic
Looks like pm to treypal
. What's the range on those handhelds?
