I’m glad you’re ok. Even if you think you’re fine, get checked out by a doctor if you haven’t already. The adrenaline dump masks a lot of pain and symptoms.

sadly, I’m thinking your truck is just over the edge for totaled.

good luck no matter what happens.

@smurfslayer , I'm pretty sure we were at Raptor Assault together a couple of years ago on Easter weekend. I told my wife if I get a new Raptor, at least it's another ticket to Raptor class. She said she's going this time, if so. I had a friend that's an ER doc check me out and he said I should be good to go with just some ibuprofen and Tylenol.

I've been on the internet looking for a new one that matches what I'd want if ordering again. I don't really want the moonroof but it's on just about every single rig I look at.

I'll post back up and let everyone know what happens with the Avalanche rig. I'm hoping it's totaled so I can make a cleaner break but I'm probably going to look at getting another one no matter what.

Glad to hear you are ok. I went to a super duty when mine hit 99k but 9months later I found myself right back in a Raptor. It is in the blood now!

If that's not totaled out, it will never be right after repairs. Just the deprecation alone from the accident (hint: hit on CarFax) should put it on the insurance to send it to auction.

Easter 2017; confirmed.

always better to be safe than sorry. I got punted by a minivan many years back, low sided my bike at about 35mph. we slid to a stop and aside from some suit tears, scuffed helmet and gloves, I felt good to go. Right the bike, nothing but scrapes and I finished the less than 2 mile trip home. in the 5 minutes it took to get home, it felt like someone drove stake into my leg.

Of course, you were far better protected, but it’s good to have the pros take a look.

The moon roof finds its way on to probably 90% of dealer stock trucks. Lucille has it and I’m ok with it but I would just as soon have kept that money. I think the market is better now and hopefully more friendly to orders. I don’t really enjoy new vehicle shopping and new Raptor shopping was even less fun. hey, at least your wife will get to have a go at R/A!

Even if they try to say it's not totalled, I'd fight them like hell on the depreciation alone. If it comes back to you, dump it. It will never be the same. Or you have one hell of an offroad beater after you buy it back. Gut it and see what that 3.5 is really made of. :D

Unless there is serious frame damage I am in the not totalled camp. The frame is three separate sections so it is very easy to put a front clip on it. Hopefully I am wrong and you get a new truck out of it.

Totaled or not isn’t solely dependent on if it’s physically possible to repair, but also the cost. Serious question... have you seen a vehicle that had every single airbag deployed NOT get totaled out? Because I haven’t.
